Henry Frazier's lasts season at PV

Where there is fire, there is smoke... I have on a good word that Coach Frazier is high on the list for the job at The University of North Texas... I dont know if any contact has been made... UNT AD Rick Villarreal as admired the job Coach Frazier has done at PV from afar... I wonder what Frazier could do with more resources that a school like UNT could offer... Villarreal wants to make a splash hire, but a splash hire requires big money... He could get Frazier for what he was paying Dodge.... What do you guys think...

Don't know... he turned down Howard. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't follow his former Boss over to Cleburne Ave... (yep, there's a possible vacancy there after the investigation)

North Texas huh? Dodge was supposed to be the next Mack Brown while using South Lake Carroll as his farm system.

Southlake hit a lil' snag over the last few. But it's about to be rebuilt for another 10yr run, outside of ET. :lol: The elementary schools have SouthLake Football as one of the prereqs before graduating them to jr high. :D
 
Henry Frazier is a good coach, but doubt he goes to North Texas...

School needs to have a 'splash' hire coupled with the new stadium. The AD can't make a mistake and set the program back. Their top candidates are below and apparently Jim Leavitt (formerly U So Florida) has expressed interest...

Hell yeah, I want a coach that gets pissed when his team lets and opponent off the hook. Esp when they are who we though they were.
 
A splash hire for north texas is dangerous... Dodge was a splash hire.. He was the hottest name in Texas after mack Brown... UNT has to be careful... right now the budget is in a tough spot... I like some of the candidates im hearing..

Maybe not, he has plenty of money, wants to repair his name/reputation, his wife wants to be in DFW, heard he wanted SMU job but they didn't want him. SMU part comes from someone that was a part of the search.

Easy here,

Want happen at UNT....They aint ready for a brother yet....Also, Frazier will be without Northern who put him on the map....UNT wants a big time assistant coach who can sell out that new staDUIM IN DENTON......Frazier story is good but not for that school.....Bigger HBCU or an assistant spot at a big school with more money...
 
anyone from the Mack Brown coaching tree is a risk....UT coaches get spoiled and lose something....Bruce Chambers has no desire to leave unless they fire him as he's bounced around positions and everything....

as for Frazier or a Broadway (a BCS assistant at one time), UNT is the type of situation a good SWAC coach should shoot for...low-level D-1 in a talent rich state with more resources

UNT won't sell that stadium out consistently even with a big hire....they play in a conference that's too spread out with teams that have no ties to the area so lets throw that argument out...

there is no "bigger" HBCU he can go to as that's a lateral move

It'd be a helluva' game. Those guys @ ET are damned near D-I already. lol They take their offseason strength and conditioning program pretty seriously. And they reload. Never seen anything like it until I mixed it up for a few w/ SLC.

Speaking of... I wonder what Dodge is gonna' do now? :read: FM-Marcus? :read: Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... :swink:
