UAPB @ Alcorn State U - (ESPNU TV) 6:30 pm

Home field advantage and still in contention for East. Tough Choice...Webber is special
and Bridge is an impressive freshman athlete. Hope it's a good game. I say Alcorn by less than 7


Games - Saturday - October 23, 2010


Jackson State U @ Texas Southern U (Hall of Fame Game) - 12 pm
Defense or lack thereof will be huge... TxSU has enuff playmakers on defense to defend the pass. The question is can JSU be the beneficiary of turnovers from Nelson and the TxSU offense. Whoever wins the turnover battle will come out ahead... TxSU by 10+



Savannah State U @ Alabama State U - 1 pm

I know nothing about Sav. State... Bama State's offense was effective for the first 3 games, since then
they have taken a step back. Needs to finish strong to save some jobs. Bama State by 14+


Grambling State @ MVSU - 2 pm

Need to establish this one early and not let up... hadn't put teams away effectively all season. Not good...need to get some work for the passing game and other offensive folk. Records are nice, but Warren must not be overworked. Gram gets out to a comfortable lead early (B'way's been in some azz this week at practice) and finish strong. GMEN by 20+



Southern U @ PVAMU - (Shreveport, La Classic) 4 pm
Last week the jags pulled defeat from the jaws of victory... Still they have improved each week, but PV's a better coached team than anyone the jags have faced so far. Babers is healthy and for the past few years that's meant trouble for the jags. Jags play valiantly, but any team that gives up 49 points and loses late off poor defensive game management is suspect with me. PV by 12



Alabama A&M U - Open

Coach Jones needs all the wins he can get...Might be time for him to be promoted elsewhere.

Jackson State U @ Texas Southern U (Hall of Fame Game) : Tough game #2. Lawd knows I wanna go for JSU but TxSo likes to run the ball and that is our Achilles heel. They also have a great DC. How much does he make? We could bring him to Jackson and run the SWAC. I have not seen a defense stop Casey or Wilson yet but I still can't call this one. Imma just go with my heart!

Savannah State U @ Alabama State U : This is really a tough game too. BAMA Jelly is kinda sorry but maybe not this sorry. Would not be surprised with the upset here.

Grambling State @ MVSU : Won't be close.

Southern U @ PVAMU - (Shreveport, La Classic) : Emotions ran high in Jackson. You had SU players mama's tell them they could not come back home if they lost to the Mighty JSU again. SU won't have that emotional high this week. They will show that they are who we thought they were.
