Thank you!!! No one wants to talk about the deep issues and the bigger picture. They wanna pray and hold hands while the problem in never fixed. These pastors are taking advantage of these weak mineded people, these pastors are messing with young boys and they are stealing money. that is fact. And the fact that this man has said that he is not like any other preacher and is bragging that he knows the president and all that shows that he is not a man of God.

But why are certain one's getting so bent outta shape? Are those people one of the Long followers & don't wanna come out & admit that they have fallen for the okie doke or something? Don't get mad at others for expressing their views on what this man has done! It's not right & should not be tolerated. As I stated in a different thread...some how those pics of the red tight muscle shirt & the black spandex Under Armor had to be sent out from his phone to someone else for them to become public like they are....To figure that out does NOT take rocket science.
 
I am not the biggest fan of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and question its reporting at times. If those were his words, I guess the bishop did not see preachers who lived in nice homes and drove nice cars.

Biblically, your first sentence above puts you in the same spiritual category as Long. But Grace. But Mercy. But the blood. But God. Your second sentence is obvious because 'we' don't minister, witness, or do most of things the bible says every believer should do. BTW the David had wives/girlfriends as the leader of God's people; so did his son Solomon. He even killed a man so he could get his wife, AFTER he was with God and leading his people. It was wrong, but it happened and God still used him and called him "a man after my own heart." Paul in wrote most the NT & still called himself the chief of sinners and said he struggles not to do the wrong things daily AFTER his conversion to Christ. If you're saved, YOU did things wrong afterward. Me too. We just have the unbiblical thinking that Long's sins are worst than our own in God's eyes.

Bible says we'l post all day about the toothpick's in other people eye, but been living with a telephone pole in our own eyes for years. Bible as right. Doing the wrong thing is not worst than NOT doing the right thing so if some of y'all spent as much time effectively witnessing to people (like the bible commands) as you do constantly condemning others you'd probably actually lead a few folks to Christ. Think about it, how many people have you lead to Christ this week vs codenmed this week?

that is what is bothering me! if he had took those pics and sent them to his wife, this wouldn't be an issue (nothing wrong with get the significant other hot and bothered!!!:lol:) but you sent the pics to another man???!!!! that has absolutely nothing to do with ministering to someone

DEKALB COUNTY, GA -- Much of the legal case against Bishop Eddie Long is rooted in activity that allegedly occurred in a modest South DeKalb neighborhood -- two doors down from where Leon Wright lives.

"Sometimes they were here for hours," Wright said of Bishop Long and his neighbor of two years, Anthony Flagg.

Flagg is one of four young men who have sued the pastor of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church. The suit alleges that Bishop Long enticed Flagg into sexual activity in an unassuming tract home on a South DeKalb cul-de-sac.

The frequency of Bishop Long's visits were "like a mail lady come to drop mail off," Wright laughed. "It was every day, man."

Wright says Bishop Long and Flagg were typically alone in the house when they were together. The suit says Andrew Momon owned the home. Momon is an official at New Birth. The house is now in foreclosure.

The suit says the pastor put the then-18 year old Flagg in the home with his mother's permission, to ostensibly stabilize his life, with Bishop Long as his mentor and spiritual leader. But the suit alleges the Bishop victimized Flagg sexually.

this has become the biggest down fall of the black community.. especially when it comes to "sexual abuse"

no one ever wants to talk about it and everyone tries to sweep it under the rug or look the other way or my favorite ..."its not my bizness" excuse :(
