According to Wallace Dooley, assistant athletics director for media relations at Tennessee State, the Tigers' schedule may be full for next season.

In addition to seven Ohio Valley Conference games, Tennessee State will host Southern in the John Merritt Classic, play Jackson State in the Southern Heritage Classic in Memphis and will play Florida A&M in the Atlanta Classic at the Georgia Dome. This season, the Tigers are playing North Carolina A&T in the Circle City Classic and could be invited back to play again next season.

Man please. The game was suppose to be in Huntsville this year, but Betty went on and agreed to play in Nashville. We now have the Louis Crews classic, and with Hampton on the schedule next year, we gotta fill that spot.

I heard we playing Skegee in the Crews Classic next year.

TSU joined the OVC why?
Them mofo's play more OOC HBCU games than we do.

 u got that right.
hell i always forget that they're in the OVC
the only time i hear about them is when they play JSU, FAMU, SU and A&M
other than that I never hear about their team.

We knew that last year TP. Tn State and SU signed an extended contract after we went up there in 08. They came to BR last year in 09 but the 9 game mandate and us playing in Orlando caused us not to be able to play them this year. So they scheduled us next year for the JM Classic. I think we have 3 more games left on the contract including next year. We would like to get back to playing TnState and FAMU every year like we did back in the day when I was in school. We were on our way a few years ago when we got both to sign deals and then the MEAC added Winston Salem State and messed over us playing FAMU. Only to have WSSU drop out of the MEAC as soon as they were trying to get in. LOL. We still have 3 years left on that contract with FAMU. Then this 9 game mandate makes it hard to schedule teams, especially when all of the FCS schools are looking to have that extra home game every year for revenue or get some big payday by playing a FBS school.

So let me get this straight. (Rubbing chin) SU can find time for Tenn State on it's schedule, but dodged a certain McNeese State for five years? Is that what I'm hearing? (still rubbing chin)

It would be nice to play Nicholls State, McNeese, etc. But they don,t bring a crowd. We fill their stadium and they are scared to come on the Bluff.
Nope Tenn. state & FAMU are the way to go. It's about the money. If they bring a crowd then we can talk. them folks just don't travel to our place.

TSU dont bring a crowd to SU either... I was at the game last year... now there were SOME TSU folks but not enough to say a crowd. I expected that game to be sold out.

Looks like TnSt will continue to pimp the HBCU's to support their athletic dept in football.

Well, maybe you all need to stop acting hostile and learn to be nice for a change.

:lmao: I don't think that is going to happen especially not with Stump on the sideline. We hate JSU and you think its bad now B&B, but if both teams come to Memorial undefeated its going to be real crazy.

I'm talking about being nice to McNeese fans or NWst fans, that way they would want to travel to the Bluff. I dont care how you act towards us. We're not scared of you. LOL!!!!
