Either way, you are incorrect by both of your calculations... If it takes 2 people to play that ri-DONK-ulous bass drum, that would put you at 226, if your numbers are accurate.

The person that pulls the bass drum actually falls in rank during dance routines and concert formation so lilrj is actually correct. Doesn't take 2 people to play the bass drum. The extra person is only used to maneuver the drum during the precision drill, transitions, off the field and to and from the stands.

The alumni won't let the Jukebox go out like that i'm sure and by the way Grambling did have a nice sized band in 2004, i remember at the Classic when they were on the field i was like damn how many are they marching this year?

Ahhh! You're right, and I appologize lilrunt1919. Of course you would know it was 225 persons, cuz that's how many different damn uniforms y'all had on the field! Of course I skipped over the half-time show when I watched my 2004 dvd, and of course I didn't watch the YouTube video. Well, I did watch it, but just as much as I watched 2Girls, 1Cup.... By them time it was 10seconds into the video, my stomach was churning from the horrid sight of slack-marching technique, tacky mix-matching of uniforms, and the over-all RATCHET-OSITY of the "band". Sorry.

Trust ain't many Su folk will be pleased to see a 128 ONLY band on the road... The majority of us don't want to see that...

128 SU on the road to a 260 piece JSU band... 128 SU to a 320 ASU......

Some of yall got SU fugg up...

we are used to being the smaller band but never that much smaller... granted it don't take many to do plenty but it's also a breaking point to "To thine own self be true...."

All this political correctness... "Yall' can keep yall dumb suggestions to yourselves for all I care... if you ain't giving to SU band to help us travel the way we WANT to travel I say shut the fug up....

Juke, iGOTTA disagree with you on this one..... SU done handed FAMU the business quite a few times with 150ish, and we know that a 320 Bama State aint got SH!T on a 320 FAMU. When talking about pure WATTAGE, FAMU is the only band I think of outside of SU. We could do it, but I mean, let's face it.... Yeah, it's different than "what it used to be", but Jukes...... I don't know about y'all, but I love the 200+ Jukebox. And, honestly, i don't think the newer generation of kids have enough FIRE to pull off 128...

Have you fallen and can't get up? Did you really play in a Greggs band? Son, you need to turn in your Jukebox card! Greggs feared no band, no matter how large they were. Sounds like you been punk'd by these JSU cats! :lol: :popcorn:

I wish this weren't true......I plan to attend the PVU/SU game since the Lions will be on a bye that weekend. I was really looking forward to seeing and hearing PV Band. It's been a while since I've heard them and I doubt the band will come to PB on Oct. 7th. Sigh. Oh well.....it should still be a pretty good f'ball game, though!

Not that I don't want to see the Juke......I'll see you guys in BR on Oct. 2nd!:)

Yeah, all you have to do is look on Facebook and see posts like:

I am mad that I had to wait in line for X hours, I am not giving X University anything when I graduate.
People blame the university for not having certain things, then in turn don't give any money back to try and improve the university so that future students won't share that same experience. I actually saw some people wishing they would close the university because they didn't do what they were supposed to do to get registered for school in time.
 
Will SU be in Shreveport for the game against PV? I was planning on attending that game. Forgive me if this question has already been answered. I didn't read through all of the threads.

From what i've been hearing neither bands will be in attendance at this moment but who knows it may change by October but i'm not wasting my money if neither or if only one band shows up.

Well SU Band is coming to the game in Shreveport. They brought about 30 to 40 members of the band to Shreveport on yesterday to play for the new bank on SUSBO campus and the bank is paying for them to come and they are planning a battle of the bands that friday night before that game between SU's and PV's band.
