It's a whole family of those Paulins that attended Southern. I remember Scott and Phillip when I marched in Southern's band. They had an older brother called Doc. All of them were musically gifted.

After watching and listening to the Jukebox play this song a million times over, I'm sure Famu can play it better. Maybe they'll call the former Jukebox who wrote this song to help them out.

That's on the directors. I don't know what's going on with that...but, the last few years, the "S" has been playing it like it was only sight-read in the bandroom "that one time". I can't remember what year it was...but, I know for sure there were two games I went to where they seem to have no clue what the director wanted at the end of the song. Last year was a whole lot better. But, it's still without it's luster.
I wonder how far-fetched of an idea is leaving "Do What you Wanna" out of the repetoire for a year or two, and replacing it with some of the other 2nd Line songs the "S" has been running thru. I wouldn't mind hearing "Take it To the Streets", or maybe even "Freedom", as a replacement.
