PB SWAC Champs!

I didnt see a thread already posted.

Congrats PB on your historic win.

Long before PB became the popular choice on tspn to win, I posted that PB had the most talented team in the SWAC this year.

Re: PB SWAC Champs!

Didnt pick them to win... but I also stated that out of all the teams I saw in person that PB had the best talent in the SWAC. Congrats PB on your first SWAC title and trip to the Big Dance. We will be pulling for you!!!

Re: PB SWAC Champs!

Congrats to PB and their coach George Ivory. I will be pulling for your guys. George is going to keep building this program up. This will not be a fluke year and I think PB will be competitive for a long time.

Re: PB SWAC Champs!

Speaking of their 1st...I was somewhat surprised at how spread out the tourney winner has been throughout the SWAC the last few years. Almost everyone has gotten them one over the last decade.

Re: PB SWAC Champs!

For those interested, the Pine Bluff Commercial has recently unveiled a new Web site that will include more frequent online updates and blogging about anything and everything UAPB and SWAC related.

You can find the blog here: http://www.pbcommercial.com/Blogs/Sports
And to our sports home here: http://www.pbcommercial.com/LocalNews/sports/

We'll be following UAPB throughout its historic run this week -- and we'll be in Dayton on Tuesday (or wherever they put them).

Re: PB SWAC Champs!

Winthrop - I watched their championship game and they SHUT DOWN the top-seeded Coastal Carolina team... they had 1-2 players that did OK but you have to worry about their physical play and defense more than their offense...

This is a GOOD chance for UAPB to pull this out for the SWAC (even if yall beat us Grrrrr.... lol)
