I think we as a people have become indoctrinated to TV and the bible stories about the Hebrews being slaves in Egypt. There is no solid evidence of them being slaves in the first place via archeology or bible. Archeology evidence suggested that they were solders and servants "employed" for hire in Egypt.

The Pharos concern was because they were of a "lower class" he thought they might join the enemy "because it was so many mail babies being born - put them to death". That's was the main problem between Egypt and the Hebrews.

Slaves in Egypt were servants, similar to a person / family being a sharecropper. I have not read where the Egyptians mistreated the Hebrews until Joseph and his brothers had died.

Why would you make that statement without researching Abe and the relationship he shared with black folks? You're wrong about Abe, and I'll prove it in another thread. It's not good to trash the greatest president this country has ever known.

Correction: Archaeologist, specifically Jewish archaeologists, have come to the conclusion that no such thing as an exodus ever happened and no such thing as Israelite slaves ever happened. According to them, there's no evidence whatsoever to support an exodus.

That prompted a reporter to ask about the Exodus, and if the new evidence was linked in any way to the story of Passover. The archaeological discoveries roughly coincided with the timing of the Israelites’ biblical flight from Egypt and the 40 years of wandering the desert in search of the Promised Land.

“Really, it’s a myth,†Dr. Hawass said of the story of the Exodus, as he stood at the foot of a wall built during what is called the New Kingdom.

“If they get upset, I don’t care,†Dr. Hawass said. “This is my career as an archaeologist. I should tell them the truth. If the people are upset, that is not my problem.â€

But archaeologists who have worked here have never turned up evidence to support the account in the Bible, and there is only one archaeological find that even suggests the Jews were ever in Egypt. Books have been written on the topic, but the discussion has, for the most part, remained low-key as the empirically minded have tried not to incite the spiritually minded.

“Sometimes as archaeologists we have to say that never happened because there is no historical evidence,†Dr. Hawass said, as he led the journalists across a rutted field of stiff and rocky sand.

RB's problem is he "love / agape" white folks and they cannot do any wrong. I am not mad at him, that's just theway he is.

I work with a person with similiar mindset. His thinking is "Another black person cannot tell me anything or supervise me - because they are black like I am" Now, he said that in a staff meeting and the white folks just look dumbfounded.

* I think Abe was pissed off at the blacks, because he father was black and his homies often teased him about his father being a slave.

Why would you make that statement without researching Abe and the relationship he shared with black folks?

What relationship,if he was such a lover of blacks, why did he tolorate his
brother-in-law owning slaves.

Lincoln was a political opportunist.

RB believes that according to the Bible, White Western Europeans are descendants of the ancient Israelites mentioned in the Old Testament. He also believes the U.S. and Britain are the results of the blessings promised to the Israelites 3,000 years ago in the Old Testament.

Nevermind that there's no historical evidence of White folks being in Africa or the Middle East during that time. He thinks hundreds of thousands of White folks fled Egypt during the so-called Exodus, and hasn't one shred of archaeological evidence to prove it.
He seems to worship their culture while frowning on the culture he was reared in.
