Hey, the Braves are my second favorite team aside from the Cubs of course. Need to get them boys back in the postseason. Chipper gettin' old, man.
I can't get enough of the sport. I was watching the Caribbean World Series on ESPN 360 to pass the time. Plus, football talk is just too damn tiring. I'm glad the season is over.
I'm not sure if Cabrera is going to hit 30 in Turner Field. He is more of a gap to gap guy. I love the addition by the Braves. A solid defender who can switch hit behind Chipper and Glaus should workout great for the Braves. They need Mike Gonzalez to be consistent out of that pen. And someone is going to have to replace those innings that were eaten up last year by Javy Vasquez.

There really wasn't much to do for the Cubs. I mean, that team is full of immovable contracts with Soriano, Zambrano and Lee and Fukudome. The payroll is already at $140 million.
I think the Bryd signing is OK, considering Bradley is gone. They need another bullpen guy to setup Marmol and possibly a second basemen. I would have loved for them to get Orlando Hudson.
we lost Mike Gonzalez to free agency...he is wit the O's now...and we traded away R. Soriano to Tampa...that is our set-up and closer from last year gone, thats why Billy Wagner was brought in, hopefully he can stay healthy and be a good closer for us...our middle relievers were shaky last year and i dont expect that to change with no major changes there...outside of the Starting rotation thats a lot of questions and concerns for the Braves, but we shall see

The Cubs and Braves are baseball's version of America's Team due in large part to TBS and WGN. Those were the countries first major television Superstations. I watched Braves games on TBS all the time, bro.
The Cubs/WGN were the first American pro sports franchise to broadcast games overseas. Now, the Cardinals could be considered the original America's Team even before the Dallas Cowboys because of the strong radio signal that KMOX out of St. Louis produced. Back then you could hear the Cardinals in the South, East Coast, Midwest and in some parts of the West. That is why you have Cardinals fans in Bama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Texas, Florida and Georgia. They were the South's pro baseball team in a sense due to KMOX.
