I'm not talking about the colonies compromising with other colonies. I'm talking about the colonies not compromising with king George and high taxation. The colonies and king George had two different views of taxation, and "NEITHER" was willing to give up their view of taxation.
Where was the compromise?
I see you have a hard time following the order of timelines. What's wrong is your refusal to acknowledge American citizens rebelled
"before" the Olive Branch Petition. Let me post the timeline so you can see it for yourself. There was no compromise and I will post the definition of the word below. You do realize there wouldn't be an America had it not been for the rebellion don't you? You do realize that it was the citizens who first stood against king George don't you? You do realize that it was the citizens who led the rebellion don't you?
Boston Tea Party
When British tea ships arrived in Boston harbor, many
citizens wanted the tea sent back to England without the payment of any taxes. The
royal governor insisted on payment of all taxes. On December 16, a
group of men disguised as Indians boarded the ships and dumped all the tea in the harbor.
