This was the MAN UP moment I have been waiting for since he took office.:clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:
He seemed lost and unsure to me, especially when Tom Price asked him a question. Also, there is plenty of stuttering by Obama and he doesn't seem comfortable answering the questions.
Why is he talking to Republicans when the Democrats have the numbers in the House and Senate?:noidea: He should be talking to his folks and pass what his side is proposing........that simple.
Viewing the President at the GOP conference makes me proud. He was relaxed, candid and exemplified the change he talked about during the campaign.
Of couse that is what you would see..:retard: It is funny when you have national GOP pundits saying the President handled his business but you still can't give the man his props.
As far as why he is talking to the GOP he is the President of the UNITED STATES of AMERICA not the United States of the Democratic Party. At good President governs from the middle allowing room for all voices to be heard.
The best qoute from this discussion was
we serve our party best when we serve the country first

What's wrong with you!
Obama, came face to face with his critics. Now, if he did not accept the invatation, you would have had something negative to say. What was he unsure about "just say what you have to say and shut up" or move on to the next subject.
The fact is those Publicans are intimitaded by Obama. They like most European Males hate to see Black Man with confidence and most of all seated in the White House.
He's talking to the Republicans, because he is the President and has the right to speak to the Republicans and Democrats. If I recall Bush did the same with the Democrats.
Oops,I forgot he read to the Democrats

There is nothing wrong with me, but there is definitely something wrong with people like you who hate to see Americans like me practicing my freedom of speech. It's my God given right to say whatever is on my mind, and I be d@mn if I let a clown shut me up.
Republicans are not intimidated by Obama or the Dems. If Republicans were intimidated, then they would be for Obama's socialist agenda, and there would be very little opposition from Republicans.
Republicans are not the ones keeping Obama from passing his socialist agenda.........Dems are. Obama should be talking to his party to find out why they are intimidated by Republicans. Republicans aren't stupid! We know the only reason Obama is trying to bring Republicans to the table is because we gave his azz a scare with recent elections not going in the favor of Democrats. In the recent elections, Obama found out that showing his face in the place is not enough to convince the American people into voting for a Democrat.
Yall aint seen nothing yet, just wait until the November elections!
The only credit I will give Obama is he and Eric Holder's support for the rights of terrorists. They're doing an excellent job by keeping terrorists out of military courts, and hopefully the terrorists will be able to walk free!

You need a clue and a prescription! How can someone who claim to be a Christian be so hateful?
No one is infringing on your right of free speech. No matter how hateful or factual incorrect you may be we listen and we respond. That's called dialogue. It is understood that if a Dem say's the sky is blue you will say it's Red, if I say water is wet you will say it's dry. But we no one ever stops you from voicing your opinion no matter how incorrect it may be.
The attitude that you exhibit prevents Republicans or Democrats from governing. That was the message from his speech. Yesterday, he dared the Republicans to participate in our government and stop being the party of NO. I see from your remarks you didn't get the message. May God help us because people of your ilk just don't get it.

George Washington was right.:smh: This party crap is killing us and making us weaker when we should be working together to solve the problems the masses face. The President is the President of The United States of America. This is a country that was born out of compromise, so the refusal to work together is really unAmerican.
It's not a problem that Republicans are saying NO to almost every idea that Obama and the Democrats come up with. It's that the naysayers fail miserably to come up with ideas (much less better ones) to support their reasoning.
The right wing folks are nothing more than obstructionists who are only interested in pushing their own agenda. There is no interest incompromise on that end at all. They just want to get in Obama's way by any means necessary.
And, have you noticed...
There are Democrats who aren't afraid to oppose some of Obama's agenda. I know that there are some individual Republicans out there who support some of Obama's agenda. They are just too scared to show it. I think they are brainwashed over on the right side, to believe that if you aren't an EXTREME right-ist, then you aren't a Republican.
If that be the case, then why didn't Americans compromise with king George? Why did the Boston Tea Party take place, and why couldn't Americans be content with king George's taxation? IMO, this country was not born out of compromise, but "REBELLION, DISAGREEMENT, INDEPENDENCE, and SOVEREIGNTY".
I can not understand why someone with so much love for this country has such limited knowledge of its history. The colonists did try to compromise with King George but he refused (see The Olive Branch Petition). The Second Continental Congress which authored The Declaration of Independence were able to do so only through compromise between the colonies and The Constitution was a compromise between the states.
Without compromise there is no Declaration of Independence. Without compromise there are no Articles of Confederation. Without compromise there is no Constitution. Without compromise there is no United States of America.
I like my Republicans in the likeness of Alan Keyes.........conservative.
