I don't think you understand what I'm talking about. I will show you proof of a terrible change in our public education system in America from what our public schools use to be in America. What I show you is a truth, and hopefully it will humble you just like it humbled me because I never knew the effect God had on our public schools until I saw it with my own eyes.

My wife is an educator and does research with public school teachers in Nashville. They're doing research with students in the black public school system. I showed my wife the videos below and she was speechless.

She has been doing this for 1 year. The research has been going on for about 3 years. Vanderbilt runs the program.

In Blue's defense-you have no idea how many colleges and program are FIGHTING to get their hands on our kids to use for research. Especially our black kids.

These same folk won't set foot at a white school or district. They always want to bash the hood kids despite the fact many come out better than the rich uppity white kids (and black ones). They want to study drugs on black kids despite the large number of white kids kicking the bucket thanks to drugs.

Is our school system messed up? Yes. I will gladly admit to that.
Money is what is killing it along with taking God out of the school system.
It's not going to kill me as a Christian to learn about other religions in school. Or to have one class that allows a kid to learn about his or her religion.

We have trashed the GED and Vocational schools for the money that we can get out of an 18 year old 9th grader in the hood. We have beaten the high school diploma and college dream so badly that we are failing kids left and right. Do you know we are DISCOURAGED from encouraging kids to get GEDS in my district? Or mentioning folks that got them-Bill Cosby anyone?

Look at all these fly by night charter schools trying to get that state money. Most are not helping our kids especially the behavior issue kids.

If he gone make me pay taxes for some schit I didn't ask for, then let me put it towards Christian schools in the black community and HBCUs. I wouldn't mind paying taxes if my money was being spent wisely.

Agreed. We had the votes to end the debate and pass health care. We did not. The Dems are afraid to stand up. They do not fully support the pres. They are worried about offending voters. If this were passed and the benefits shown the issue could have been over and done with.

How can the KENNEDY seat go to a republican? A kennedy shoud have run on name alone rather than lose the seat.

No. The 16th section of each county has been set aside to pay for education since the colonial days of this country. Government has always provided the public services that individuals could not.

Yes, but not all of it is interest bearing, and that's why Obama is asking the banks to return some of what they received.

Ummm the Dems still have the majority...all 60 votes did was to stop a filibuster. The Dems could still pass the comprehensive health reform plan but they SUCK as the title of the thread says. They won't stand up and fight for what needs to be done.:shame:
