SU's Marching Band to perform at NFC Championship Game

By the way, most of us know exactly why he did it in THIS particular thread.

Even Stevie Wonder saw it coming....

No we did not.. be a moderator and not allow any of it....

Even Dumb George knows that..

Personally, I try to converse with others without condemning them. I could see why he did it, but at the same time I didn't agree with it, BUT I allowed myself to understand his mindset at the time.

You can kill a lot of flies with honey than you can with vinegar... ;)

Sorry, that's the way I roll.....has helped me tremendously through life.... :D

Okay I'm gone now......Have a good day J and stop being so mean. I've seen your photo and you're a cutie pie........ :)

You should have be the same way with me when I decide to "interupt" a JSU thread...

I'm sure you can see why I do it... :D

And I'm not mean... I be smiling when I post all this stuff... :)
And thank you cutie...:sperm:

And stop trying to understand dumbarses like some of these gsu folk... We already have Crit for that... we don't need the both of you being that way...

This, and another 1 or 2 post, recently, are the only times Ive ever heard you complain about it. So, what happen to the other decades SU was put'n the score on the field? Why have a gripe now?

Most ask, but don't stay on the subject, cuz they realize it's still a certain marching band with a certain style. But, this strikes a small nerve with ya, I see. Has it been like that? The dash is there if one of the teams is in the single digits...so, do you give the "S" a higher grade for those games?

It just doesn't look right, never has. I think that rather than having the second block forming the dash (if necessary) that the dash should always be there and the score should follow this design... 00-00 (ie 10-03, 03-10, 14-14). For a halftime score to be 14-14 and you all put 1414 out there.. looks kinda . Props for doing it but that looks like an address not a score..

Damn you, underhanded compliments!!!!!!!! J/K

BATON ROUGE - The Southern University Marching Band has been chosen to provide halftime entertainment Sunday at the Louisiana Superdome when the New Orleans Saints take on the Minnesota Vikings in the NFL’s NFC Championship game.

Southern’s invitation to perform at the National Football League Championship contest is more proof that the “Human Jukeboxâ€￾ is the icon of college marching bands. Southern was recently the subject of a profile in the New York Times on marching dance routines.

This is wonderful news! My 16-year old daughter, who LOVES THE SAINTS...............AND wants to attend Southern, will have a fit!!!!!!!!

:clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:

CONGRATULATIONS TO SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY & THE HUMAN JUKEBOX!!!!!!!!!!

GEAUX SAINTS, GEAUX!!!!! And for you Bri: GEAUX JAGS, GEAUX!!!!!!!

Thank YOU!!!

That should have been you responce to the GSU dumbarse.....

That would have been VERY fitting and VERY MODERATOR LIKE!!!

You catching on now...

Oh you have a nice day too sweetie....:sperm:

SO........wat ur sayin is it's cool for u to belittle everyone in tru SU fashion, but if someone criticizes SU they deserve to be banished from life itself? Kill the childish u walking relic. If u crabbed in 96......part of u should be mature. So far.......with the cry babish stuff I've seen here, and all the criticism by u and urs towards Grambling and others......u are rather preschoolish. Wat's good for the goose is good for the gander.....

Man yall funny. Heck when I was at Washington High we performed for the Falcons games twice a year, the Hawks, the Braves, Holyfield/Tony Tubbs fight, the Flames, the Democratic National Convention, the 100th year celebration of the Coca Cola and so on.

 You right CEE
its really "nothing" when you think about it...
they made that clear in the "jsu performs for the saints" thread

Its just one of those things! lol

and Kudos to Washington High  (are they still a solid program?)

why would any other HBCU bands peform (well besides maybe Valley or Alcorn).... those are the three closest HBCU's to New Orleans.

The BOOM has performed for the Colts and a few other NFL teams too. I actually don't recall them performing for the Saints.

They just showed the band on NFL Network looking good!!!

My daughter was yellin' "Momma, turn it channel 154! 154! Momma, hurry up!"
She was so happy!:):):):):):)

Saw a glimpse of the Jukebox on FOX during the opener, when Kris Allen sang the National Anthem!:clap::clap::clap:

SU played for a Vikes game in 95.

And we recorded the Vikes fight song.."Skull Vikings" in 96 . Everytime they scored they would play it...
When did jsu perform for the Colts and what other teams jsu performed for?

I remember the Saints game they performed this year, right after SU performed their Annual Game for the Saints...

Can yall do it maybe yall can show them how its down right??
juss sayin

Like I tell my band students, band is also a sport. We have our years where we are good and then we are down at another. I personally enjoy seeing all swac bands whether good or not that particular year. You never know what to expect. Even the ones that are sitting on top in the swac or wherever, someone that marched before or during that time thinks they are not as good as we are or were. Then that person probably didnt do jack crap to begin with. Anyway, SU yal looked great on TV last night. Yal made your university and the SWAC look good. I was wondering do anyone have a clip of the show from last night. They did not show on tv. I like showing my middle school band students clips of predominately black bands so they can strive to be where u are now one day.
