Nobody said, well i havent said the saints receivers are garbage, but to say they are just out-right better the vikings receivers is questionable. Someone above stated, sidney rice only good because of farve, well this is the first year Rice had a Great QB, also you have to put in his hard-work with cris carter and Larry last off-season. If brees wasnt in N.O, Henderson and Colston would be below average.
 



Let me say that first and foremost, I am a BEARS fan and because of that, I HATE THE VIKINGS. They've always been weak with no heart. Also, like most former Jukes, I have a soft spot in my heart for the city of New Orleans and by extension, the Saints.

Having said that, Do not sleep on the Vikings this year. I've watched them all season and they are the truth ... on both sides of the ball. Brett Favre is playing some of the best ball of his career and Rice/Harvin/Shaincoe are lightning it up on a weekly basis. The other problem is the Peterson/ Taylor combo -- especially when you consider receiving yards. (Petersons rushing yards are down but check out his "all-purpose" stats.)

I'll be pulling (hard!) for the Saints but make no mistake, this is going to be a dogfight.

Speaking of turnovers.... Brett threw 4 TDs last week (1 was garbage time at the end of the game), and he is known to flop and reverse his fortune the following week. I wouldn't be surprised if he threw 4 picks this Sunday.:lecture:

I would be very surprised if Favre threw four interceptions. We seem to be waiting for him to fall on his face, but it has not happened and probably won't in the NFC Championship Game. Favre's 33-7 touchdown to interception ratio in 2009 speaks volumes. I think the player everyone is sleeping on is Adrian Peterson. Folks are talking Favre, Rice, Bush and Brees.

But I find it hard to believe that few are discussing the impact arguably the best running back in the NFL could have on this game. If Peterson gets going, Minnesota will be darn hard to beat.

Let's see...this thread was initially about who would have the biggest impact between Percy Harvin and Reggie Bush. Then a few posters mentioned Sidney Rice. Others brought up how productive the Saints WRs were, and there was even a discussion about turnovers. Hey, I mentioned Pierre Thomas in a previous post as a guy who could be a difference maker.

But no one bought up Adrian Peterson and his potential impact come championship Sunday. You have a problem with that? You are way too sensitive.

No I just have a problem with you PRETENDING to be on here "analyzing" when it's clear you don't know shyt about the Saints.. either that or you choose to ignore why we had a better team than the Vikes this year...

Negga you was trying to squeeze the Vikes in between N.O. and Indy when both those teams were undefeated and the Vikes had 2 losses... man go somewhere with you crap..

I don't know if Favre will do it. I know deep inside the regions of his brain that urge still exists. However, he has played within himself all season. Not to mention the last time he played in the NFC Championship Favre threw a game deciding interception against the Giants. That will be on his mind come Sunday. Plus, I don't think the same pressure to win this game exists as it did when Favre was in Green Bay. All the pressure is on the Saints to win. So, Favre should have a good game.

All I will say is that the Vikings have enough weapons and defense to win this game. Some are acting like it will be damn near impossible for them to come within 2 -3 TDs of the Saints. But that is why they play the game. Both teams have enough playmakers to be factors in this game. Both defenses will have to come with their A game and maybe even above it. Adrian Peterson may be the wild card....he is due a big game. Whichever team stops the run will put their team in a better position to win.

Hopefully it will be an entertaining game. I have nothing against the Saints and have nothing but love for the city of New Orleans. It would be great to see the folks have something to be really happy about if the Saints hold up their bargain and win. On the flip side, I sure hope if for some reason the Saints lose it don't turn ugly out there. There is a lot of emotion riding on the outcome of this game.

Vikings fans will be alright.....albeit disappointed yet again if they lose. I don't know how Saints fans will react if they get beat. Especially at home.

I am torn on this game. I have rooted for the Vikings as my second team behind the Steelers and have had season tickets to their games. I would like to see my boy Antoine Winfield get to the SB. I know him personally and he is good peoples. Of course all my fellow SU alums and friends who are die hard Saints fans have suffered for years and it would be sweet to see the Saints finally lift the whole "Aints" legacy.

Yeah, I hear that JR... I feel like, whichever team come out hot will put the pressure on the other offense to answer, and we've seen Brees come from behind a few times this season. I'm hoping to see Farve pushed into a corner and start forcing things, and not allow AP to influence the outcome of the game at all.
