Saints vs. Colts in Super Bowl? Highly unlikely

Yall see how silly the media can make people....

There isn't ONE story about the Saints possibly making their first superbowl in history...

But you have all these Joe namith old school Jets/Colts New York/Baltimore comparisons and how great it would be for the Jets to win...

You hear all this stuff about Brett Favre slapping folks on the butt, 40 years old winning a playoff game...

The only story they tell about the Saints is a stupid arse "NOT" funny story line of our past QBs.... when our QBs had little to do with why we were the team we were.... These sports anaylst are some of the dumbest these days...

I think it is very disrespectful to our team and city how they playing with us..

We earned a number 1 seed.. we advanced to the champioship round in number 1 seed fashion and this all they could come up with?...:retard:

I rather them bathces not talk about us at all... let us march on to Miami and don't do no story on us... just give us out trophy and rings.... Boy I swear these some dumb arses on TV these days....smh

What you want the media to do? Make up fantasy stories? The Saints have no history worth spending TV time on. Come On now.

What you want the media to do? Make up fantasy stories? The Saints have no history worth spending TV time on. Come On now.

Cut it out.... The Saints is the only team left in this play-offs that never been to a superbowl.... there is a lot of good storie you can tell about that with this great team we have....

They can talk about the obvious turn in direction this team has made since Coach Sean Payton been here...2 NFC championship appearances in 4 years.. first time his rookie year as a coach and now with a more experienced group full of Pro Bowlers... Not to mention we are the NUMBER 1 seed, FIRST time in Saints History being the number 1 seed..

Cut the crap man..

Even if you going to show our bad history... which none of these guys have anything to do with... Don't end the daym story talking about .."Lets hope the Saints dont lose Brees to free agency"... What kinda crap is that?

I want to see their faces when we light Minnesota arses up this weekend.... it's going to make that much better...

I think it's kinna cute that N.O. fans want this respect to just fall out of the sky, just because this is their best run on the SB ever. The league, in general, don't see N.O. like that. And, they fa'da*n-sho don't see it the way N.O. fans see it.

The way they've played this year is one thing. Shaking history is another. Esp, with the ESPN's of the world, at this stage of a playoffs.

J....those Colts, Ravens, Jets all have something that the Saints don't. So, why complain about that particular aspect? The media is going to be the media.

:lol::lol::lol:

You know all season there has been underlying sympathy from the media for the Saints. Not because they have been a historically bad team, but because of the whole Hurricane Katrina thing from 2005. The whole story of how the underdog Saints are bringing New Orleans together by winning. But wasn't that the same story when they made the run back in 2006?

You missing my point man.. give respect to the leagues best... right now the 2 number 1 seeds are the Saints and Colts...

All that extra talk can go either way... they can use our negative history for us OR against us... they choose the latter...

But we will just keep busting ass and tell all you clowns... "Go run and tell dat"..

WHO DAT

The lesson in a nutshell. When it comes to recognition by the media types...know what you're dealing with. So, expect them to put out the worse when considering the Saints history. Cuz, basically, that's all they have film on.

I mean, tell me...do you think ESPiN has more footage of Saints fans like this....

...or, like this....

?

Heck, Im from Houston...all three of our sports team could make a championship run in the same year and we still wouldn't get much run from the media. Why?....:noidea: Probably the same reason SI completely skipped over the Rockets for the cover after a championship. And, there are many, many more examples of the lack of respect for Houston.

Im jus' say'n. I'd tell you this just like I'd tell a fellow Texans fan if we were in the same position as the Saints.

Man blade stop it man....

Sean Payton been in New Orleans 4 years...
He being the change this organization needed alone is a full story...

How he came here and created a championship offense.. all 4 years having top offenses.. this is the Saints 2 NFC championship appearance under this SAME coach in 4 years... that alone should tell you the Saints ain't no ONE hit wonder team when it comes to contending... This team under this management resembles NOTHING of that late 70's early 80's photo you had to dig up....

It's plenty of footage of this Saints team under Sean Payton displaying excellence over the last 4 years...

Shat, the last time the Jet been to the Superbowl was in 69.. that's only a 2 year difference from when the Saints originated....

Talk about our run 2 years ago and how we are back for it ALL now...

What's funny is a lot of you know it's about to happened.. just like we tried to play PV off... we knew when they came knocking on the door that first year it wouldn't be long before they won it all......

WHO DAT!

And Texans dawg? Did the Texans even have a "winning" season yet... yall have other hurdles to climb before yall get where the Saints are now and where we were 2 years ago.. heck even back when we finally made the playoffs...
Come on man...

I never seen ESPN/FOX/CBS present the Saints in a negative light at all this season. I have not seen the film of Saints fans back in the day wearing the bags on their heads or anything like that. Now, when the Cubs won the NL Central in 2008 ESPN did a piece about the horrible postseason history of the Cubs. Rick Reilly said don't be fooled Cubs fans, the season is going to end in heartbreak again.

I have not seen that in regards to the 2009 Saints. If anything, it has been to praise everything they do. How the team has rejuvenated New Orleans and the Gulf Coast because of all the winning. How Drew Brees believes it was a calling for him to play for New Orleans because of what happened post Hurricane Katrina. So, I don't see how Saints fans can feel like the national media is slighting the franchise.

man we ain't no feel good story no more... we out here on a consistant basis kicking ass... you don't make 2 appearances to the NFC chamionship in 4 years by mistake.. Call the first time a fluck.. but we are back and better.. I call that a trend/habit.....

What does any of this have to do with the media's perception of the Saints?

And, you really think 2 appearances in the last few years, in a conference finals will change that perception?...:retard:

I knew me throwing the Texans name in there would confuse you, causing you to divert to downing my Texans (cuz, I'll have to correct you...we have had a winning season...:D ) ... Me using the Texans was hypothetical. The fact is...hypothetically, if the Texans were to make it to the Conference Championship game...I couldn't complain that my team is not getting any media pub...cuz, we've never been there. Just like the Saints ain't ever been to the SuperBowl, nor won it.

You can complain about teams like the Jets...but, the Jets have, first and foremost, won a SuperBowl. 2...they're in NY (revert back to my "know who you're dealing with" comment), the media capitol of the world. And, 3....they did it with a flash that has become the moniker for "on-camera garauntees". Im sure with the Media...that 40year old episode is STILL more glamourous than anything N.O. has ever done from their perspective. Would you or would you not agree?

Stop lying to get your kicks. Rick Reilly did a whole piece on all of the deplorable qb's in the Saints' past in comparison to Brees.

So, what is the problem? ESPN does the same thing when it comes to rattling off the list of all the Bears starting quarterbacks since Sid Luckman. They went back and revisited the failures of the Boston Red Sox before they won the World Series. Networks do pieces like that to give perspective.

You Saints fans feel like the team is entitled to a certain level of coverage because risen from the NFL blob and to the NFC Championship Game. Every national media outlet had the Saints ranked No. 1 in the NFL power rankings until the lost to Dallas.

As I said before, there has been more than enough Saints love coming from all circles the whole season. Vegas has had New Orleans favored in every game this season including against the Vikings Sunday.

But yet folks are unhappy that ESPN did a retrospective of Saints franchise quarterbacks?

You guys have nothing at all to complain about, considering the team is one win away from playing in the Super Bowl.

Vegas is smart....

Bottom line that BS ESPN is showing is un-called for...plain and simple

I found it entertaining.

Why is it uncalled for when all season they have been giving the Saints nothing but love?

Iono... maybe because we deserved it.. we played hard went 13-0 run... what you think.... how many teams went 13-0? A lot huh?...:noidea:

Being the best team in the NFC may have had something to do with it also...

But working hard and kicking ass does not warrant the type of coverage we are getting now.... You know better than that... if you don't shame on you

I read the usual national suspects every day and I have not come across any unwarranted negative coverage of the Saints. Maybe everyone is not picking them to win Sunday, but nothing outlandish.

Boy I don't care who folk pick to win... You ain't see that dumb ass QB piece they did on the Saints? Out side of that....If you just started watching ESPN this week you wouldn't know who the hell the Viking were playing ... cause they barely even talking about the Saints... That's cool and fine.. but don't let the one and very few segment you do on us be some bull like that.....

J...win or lose...your postgame/postseason comments after the Saints last games are going to be entertaining... Ones scenerio is going to be alot funnier than the other...but, both very entertaining none-the-less.
