I'm not I am mad about the Becky he brought with him to Houston.

What the hell difference does that make? Are you saying that if he had brought
jemima_before.jpg
then that would have been OK for you to take him away from her?

FYI that wasn't Becky it was Maria. Being a Texan one would have thought you knew the difference.

Oh well. I wonder why Pop aint say Bell was his frat bruh.

At least ole Stump done got off to a good start on how to handle the BR folks. Something Bell never embraced in Jackson.

I dont think Bell was part of Pops frat though.

JR,
Bell was a sigma. We stopped making them light skinned brothers with s-curls a long time ago.

No guests tonight, so we'll discuss the Stump Mitchell hiring, the University of Tennessee's impact on black college football, and the State of the Black College Athletic Department polls of 2009.

Tonight's guest marching band is the Southern University Human Jukebox.

Damn!! This dude, Jarrett Carter is saying that Stump wanted to stay in DC and that it was embarassing the way that SU's AD hooked up his boy in order to save some money. He asked "is this what SU folks really wanted?"

He said if Stump has a losing record, SU folks will be calling for his head.
He basically said that SU is flat out broke and the administration is lazy in not raising funds from SU alumni to go out and get the guy they wanted.
Wonder if any of this is true or if this guy is simply spouting off just for the hell of it.:noidea:

Dude has no clue. So who was it that SU alums wanted? Heish Northern? You think Stump is coming in for less than we would have paid to get Heish?

I want to know who this mystery coach was that SU alums wanted so much. It has already been reported Stump is getting Pete type of money.

And if any coach whether it was Doug, Heish, Cal Magee, Lane Kiffin had a losing season at SU in their first year.......they will hear it. This dude really is reaching. Sounds like a disgruntled fan who got his own hookup taken away from him.

I wonder if dude is Bumpy's or Pete's cousin.

Oh well. The same was said about Pete when he got hired. Folks said he was D2. SU had whooped his arse the year before in Shreveport. He was not from our area....etc....etc... The bottom line is no matter WHO SU hired, folks were not going to be satisfied. It is TUFF on the BLUFF.

Call in a let dude know.

Somebody just did.:snicker:

SU folks know good and well they're not happy about the Stump hiring. Outwardly, they're saying one thing, but privately, they HAVE to be pissed that Doug was passed over.

Just imagine if Doug had been announced as SU's head coach. They'd STILL be partying on the bluff....maybe even have a parade lasting all night. Grambling would be highly pissed and concerned, and JSU folks would've been a bit more concerned as well, but since ole Stump is the HNIC, don't nobody really give a damn.

Simply put, SU's administration dropped the ball in a BIGTIME way. The hiring of Doug would've changed SU's history for the better, perhaps more than Pete's did.....seriously. In a selfish way,
I'm glad Doug wasn't hired, but for the sake of the SWAC, it would've been good for the conference.
Maybe we can get him if things don't work out with Comegy in the near future.

What for? Sounds like he is more concerned than us Jags. LOL. I aint mad one bit. It is comical. Like Stump said. All he has to do is win and graduate the players to get folks on his bandwagon. This would have been the same if we had brought in any so called outsider to Baton Rouge. It has always been like that. This is nothing new. That is why it is so funny to hear it. LOL.

JR, cease with the fabrications bruh. You know good and well that yall wanted Doug like yall want another SWAC title. Pete was the ONLY coach over the past 30 years that consistently won. Doug would've been an almost sure winner at SU, with the backing and support of the Jags. Your administration let championships slip right through their hands due to pride, impatience and flat out incompetence. You would've immediately risen back to championship caliber football under Doug. Your administration blew it and blew it big!!!!!:nod::nod:

Uh Jay Rob if so many folks at SU really wanted Doug, why did he get passed over? I mean the board Chair and HNIC Tony Clayton and SU alum/former US Rep Cleo Fields met with Doug and discussed the job. Surely if SU alums and fans wanted Doug that badly....those 2 would have been able to get their way. LOL. That's if Doug was actually coming.

Even for the ones who wanted Doug. As soon as he would have lost a BC or to PV or JSU........calls for his head would be louder than it was for Pete. LOL. Some of yall really don't know the dynamic in and around Baton Rouge. Folks gone complain even if we hired Tony Dungy. It is what it is. Wins shut mofos up no matter who your coach is.

And for yall to shole not give a damn. Yall shole are talking about it and more worried about it than SU people. Folks aint fooling me. Folks know damn well SU aint Morgan State. So all this back and forth speculation of our demise and how broke we are is just a cover for mofos really being sced that ole Stump may just have SU whooping their arse. Oh well.

Carry on with banter.

Who is yall? Let's get this straight. You really that dumb not to think that there might have been a HUGE faction of SU mofos not wanting Doug to set foot on SU's campus? Do you think TC backed down because he wanted too. After all he moved the JSU game to Jackson with alot of screaming and hollering. So common sense should tell you that it IF so many SU folks that had pull wanted Doug so badly then he would have been the coach provided DOUG himself was really coming.

Even Stevie Wonder can see this. LOL. Keep on believing what you want though. Why don't you email Doug and ask him why HE pulled his named out of the coaching search. LOL. It shole will not be what you think. You are so gullible Jayrob. And that's a shame. You aint too political savvy are you on how things work with most coaching hires. I am sure Tuberville got that TT job based on what he knew instead of WHO he knew. LOL.

JR, I have no problem admitting that I would've been more concerned if Doug was hired than somebody named Stump. Doug has something that Stump doesn't.....a history of winning. He won with less at Grambling. Just think what he would've done with the supposed resources had by SU and your fan support. You guys would've been close to the "cat bird's" seat in the SWAC. Now you don't know where you'll be with Stump. I can't say it enough.....your administration not only dropped the ball, they dropped the ball at the goal line with no time left on the clock.

TC's ego simply got in the way and blew it for "the nation". You know I'm right, but I already know that neither you nor most SU's folks will ever publicly admit it.

Dude, who do you think wanted Doug. LOL. It was none other than TC himself. I see you have no clue on what was going on.

You are totally clueless and just made yourself look bad with that statement. Everybody on TSPN knew Clayton was the one who wanted Doug. His ego didn't get in the way. Something else did. Oh well. Like I said, yall think you know so much about what is going on at SU.

When folks start getting "personal" in simple debates, you know you got 'em by the ****s.

You can tell that jibberish about Doug not wanting the job, to someone who'll believe it.

JR, if what you say is true, that makes it even more of a tragedy. It makes TC out to be the smart guy and those who didn't want Doug, out to be idiots and clueless. I can't believe that TC was the intelligent one in the bunch in this particular case, but if you say so JR, I'll take your word for it.

Those who rejected Doug for Stump will soon regret it.

Whatever Jayrob. You have already missed the thread where folks have already said what happened to Doug. HE WAS NEVER COMING. TC wanted him to and maybe Doug thought about it. But that's it. I will say it for the last time. Not as many folks in Jag Nation was for Doug as you might think. If you had a clue you would have read between the lines on this. LOL.

The only thing you got a hold off is a bunch of hot air.
