That may be the case with your band, but you best believe Grambling Univeristy had to cut something. We gave every state funded university a number to cut and left it up to them to decide what expenditure line item to cut. If need be, I'll look and see what they cut and let you know.

changed it for ya; dude bone'o i would be quiet about bands for a while; gram looked and sounded a shitty mess this past weekend; yall band is undisplined and look like a bunch of high school kids trying to be a college band and yall band director let the shit happened

We cut numbers, frat. And nobody better say schit about it, coz trust this....if you're from an HBCU, yo' azz will cut something if you haven't already. Be it sports programs, band size, departments, .....yo azz is gonna cut something. :lecture:

Band size has nothing to do with the state of your band.. Lets all remember SU marched 48 in 89 once upon a time...

I know this dude aint for real. Gram has missed some road games over the years. Especially if they were not considered a Classic or someone paid for them to be there.

I remember a bunch of threads on this board wondering if Gram's band would show up for an away game.


No one on this board can say isht about SU's band when it comes to traveling. Definitely we have been the most consistent traveling to non classic type games over the last 20 plus years. That is one thing no one can say about the Juke. They have been there for the SU football team way more than any other HBCU band and probably more than 90% of the PWC bands because most of them are too big to travel. Budget cuts are affecting not only us HBCUs but I am noticing some empty seats in these big stadiums for the PWCs as well. Times aint good like they used to be. It will be more to come before it all gets better.
