It's been said that the Jukebox is the only band to go to all of it's away football games because the school includes into its budget the travel expense for the band. This past weekend the Jukebox didn't make the trip to Pine Bluff? What happened? Why didn't you all make the trip? Was it because of the weather?
 



I see SU lives rent free in some folk heads out there in Jackson...
so sad....


But to respond to the thread... Budget cuts is the only reason SU missed last week.. and from what I hear, they may be missing the Gulf Coast Classic as well...

Alright. Thanks. So there is going to be a GGC? I thought the organizers of that were having problems rasing funds.

Not true, USC travels to all it's away games.
 
If Southern's band had not traveled to Jackson for the JSU game, they would have made the trip to Pine Bluff.

Anyway, budget cuts are understandable with the economic times we're dealing with.

This is correct. We also made every state agency cut their travel budgets as well. All of that Federal money we were getting in due to Hurricanes Katrina and Rita and the related sales tax are starting to dry up.

Yeah my moms dept had their travel budget cut about 75% and they cover about 5 parishes. :tdown:
 
where are ya getting yall info from???? Grambling travels to all of its games period...i dont think we have missed a game in the past 3 years......so where are yall info coming from??? to my understanding the World Famed was the only band that traveled wherever there was a football game....sorry or not....
