Well it may be the biggest game in SWAC History..... There's a lot on the line in Baton Rouge on Thursday.

It Southern wins they can win out and be the SWAC West Champs for 2009, Its that simple.... They will also keep PVAMU from they're ultimate goal for this season.

If Southern loses, they will be known as the team that let PVAMU win the SWAC Western Division

if PVAMU wins then They are the 2009 SWAC Western Division Champs..... if PV loses they will just need to win one more Western Division game and will need Southern to lose twice.

If southern loses they will need PV to lose twice and they would have to win out the rest of the way.

Its ALL ON THE LINE Thursday night

Southern still has to play GSU, UAPB and TXSU so how in the hell do you think they have the SWAC West sewed up if they get a win over PV? Biggest SWAC game in history lol!:retard:

Don't forget to add Alabama State to that mix to complete their conferance schedule.

That is incorrect. Prairie View would only need Southern to lose one more game if they lose to the Jags on Thursday. Keep in mind, Southern already has one conference loss (to JSU).

If the above scenario were to play out Prairie View would finish with one loss and Southern, in losing another one, would finish with two conference losses.

da fukk!!!!! dude must be like 5 or something; the game has alot on the line but nowhere near the best game in swac history; dummies man

Folks are overlooking the possibility that this one could end in a tie...it happens, but not likely. That would put pressure on both teams and throw the race back wide open in the West again.

So having said that... "Let's go Both" !!!

Careful, you're rooting for the Jags, remember? lol If this isn't last year this same time w/ the same combatants in switched positions... man. Talk about deja' vu!

Actualy it's not, since both SU & GSU have to play each other which would give them a 2nd loss and eliminate one from contention if PV has only 1 loss. It would then resort to head to head and no 3 way tie.

You must be a Donovan McNabb wanna be, College games can't end in a tie anymore. That went out with the leather helmets. LOL

I was looking @ the inner-division perspective Fi. But you're right. I forgot Southern dropped it vs JSU and it counts for them.

Well, I hope it goes into 10 overtimes and the teams are so fatigued afterwards that both get the shiit beat out of them the next week.

In all honesty... I'm not rooting for PV to lose cuz we didn't handle our bizness head to head. However, if they happen to lose this game or any other combination of games and Grambling goes to Gramblingham again,:clap::clap:

So I repeat: Let's Go Both!!!!

Both teams would have ten days to get ready for their Oct. 31st matchups.

Grambling is on the other side, hoping for a PVU defeat this year .... we have to take care of our business and it won't matter what the rest of you do, period.

And what I'm hoping Emptyright is saying is that it might be the biggest game this year .... right?

Wouldn't that be Grambling .... the team who allowed them to get into this position? :shame:

This is a big game. For my generation it is the biggest game in SWAC history. My generation saw PVAMU in a very bad state in the 90's. At the same time SU was rising to be the most dominant team in the SWAC for the Decade of the 90's. For my generation it is a roll reversal. PVAMU is coming up big time to the top of the SWAC and Southern represents the old dog at the top of the mountain trying to maintain its spot. It is an important game because it could be known as the night that everything changed in the SWAC. It is also a look at Southern's future head coach. Either H. Northern (PVAMU Def. Coord.) and Henry Frazier (PVAMU Head Coach) One of these two will be the next head coach at Southern.

lol maybe u should say the biggest game you've ever seen; or the biggest game to YOU; u live in a cave or something

This is a big game for both teams and the questions become:

Can PV beat SU and GSU in the same season?

Will weather play a factor?

Will SU get some home-cooking in Mumford?

Can PV stay focus and handle the pressure?

On paper PV should win this game but........
