Once again.... The Jukebox came out on top. I mean, The 'Boom put up a decent fight this year, true enough, but it just wasn't enough. I was hoping and PRAYING that this years battle would be as good as 2003, but, alas..... We keep tellin' them though: YOU CAN'T OUT JUKE THE JUKEBOX. Where dey do dat at?! NOWHERE! Point blank. Once they become JSU again, then I will have faith that they will be able to contend, but as long as they are IMITATING, but NOT DUPLICATING, it won't happen.

I actually sat and figured out how they got their volume this year too...... All they punk-ass crabs who got scared off by the "hazing incident " at Southern went to JSU this year. I guess they just can't train the dogs like the Juke do though. They have the volume, but not the heart or aggression/passion.
 



I ain't know a band can score a touch down.

And NeNe the only time you got geeked is when jsu played "Under Pressure" the song SU inspired JSU to play.... Even though you was by your self jumping up and down, it wasn't enough to make up for the pounding SU put on a few nights ago..

Both halftime shows were "homecoming" halftime shows.... That was the worst "Boombox Classic" game Ive been to... and Ive been to the last 4 at Memorial.... Even the pregame and 5th were boring.....

There was no "clear cut" winner...but I dont believe EITHER was on their "A" game.

SU what happenned on Black and Blues?

I ain't really care for this over all jsu/SU battle in comparison to the others...

It had nothing to do with the level of what both bands are on this year.. just the lack of playing... and I think it's too much fanfares being played.. I hate that...

As far as black n blues.. other than the F-horns stopping before they went in to the transition... They blew the Fuk out of Black N Blues.... But the Horns do need to get that corrected and I know they will...

I guess that's one of the few flaws one could find in SU playing the whole night...

Like others said.. the 5th was too short...
I really don't like the 0 quarter taking the place of more playing during and after the game...

Normal hell...I didn't know how much both bands played in the 0 quarter...but now that I see.....how much longer did yall want them kids to play... sheesh.

I got there when the game started.... so I missed all of the beginning stuff...lol

KABOOM n*gg*. lol. I can partially agree. At least that it was one of the less entertaining band-wise. But at the end of the day.. JSU was JSU and SU was SU. I'll leave yall to debate who did their ttr's better, etc. lol

We got there to hear about two songs from each band before SU played National Anthem.

couple of slow songs: JSU- Lenny Williams (B/c I Love you) shyt was on point
SU- played Al Green's "Let's Stay Together"...shyt was on point

then some more songs were played...LMAO can't remember.

Finally SU played National Anthem (after announcer had asked a couple of times but bands kept playing back and forth)!!

I don't like the "0" quarter...it's not fair to the fans. But I also feel that the 5th quarter shouldn't have a limit on the number of songs to be played!

Yeah it's not fair to the fans... If it's going to be like that..at least let it be a set time when it will start so folk can aim for that time vs. the actual game start time...

Agreed. Nobody can brag about that shat Sat night. Both sounded good. I give SU a slight nod on the halftime show only because JSU's show was just..........just......just there. SU didn't come out and wow anybody. Notice.....the fans during the dance routine were just kinda like.....ok and? The crowd only got loud for the fat girls.......which was lame.

You didnt' miss anything out of the norm man.....it was the usual JSU-SU pre-game playing. The whole atmosphere seemed different than usual years...like some of the energy was missing. Weird. :noidea:

Anyway, I enjoyed BOTH bands (particularly in the stands)!!!! Both bands sounded great to me.

What was up with the JSU announcer... not band announcer but sports announcer? He would keep saying "JSU clean on the inside, clean on the outside, ice cream paint job" ... etc

also did Lil Boosie sponsor this game? Why were they showing his videos on the scoreboard every timeout?
