The freshmen sound pretty good. Was it just me but I thought when they were playing get ready on the way back, that the band was a little off.
Also, Boom play within control, do not blast!
Where is the Boom's swing and sway?

Overall from what I saw on the videos, 2009 has the potential to be one of the best band JSU has ever had.

The best JSU has ever had? I don't think so, them mf's can't even march! There is more to marching band than stands, you actually have to march and be precise! Until JSU takes care of their marching issues and drilling, they will continue to be good and not great, it's the little things that count and get overlooked that separates great bands from good bands! Just keeping it real! Size doesn't mean a band is great!

from the clips posted the Boom sounds better that is all..its still band camp so im sure every band has a ways to go, some more than others and some that will never make it...this was a clip of the old boom and new boom joining for the first time so kinks etc will get worked out..everything is not smack..different year same isht lol

The boom sound was str8 but there is no excuse for the marching! Many people were on the wrong foot, i mean many! A collegiate band! COLLEGIATE! Most of those people were in high school bands and most watched the boom before the went to JSU and should have some kind of concept! You can tell that the Boom doesn't focus on marching fundamentals like they used to but you people make excuses for mediocrity! Sometimes you have to be real! JSU's marching is sad and it looks like it will be worse! It is what it is! I guarantee if the game were 2morrow SU would look and sound better than JSU on and off the field!

What does it matter to you..or is that your Such a JSU hater that you will CONTINUE to say the SAME thing over and over Go look back up and critique that SU clip, I mean you did go to SU right..Tell us what they need to do to get better etc..Again this is the merging of the BOOM and they have ample time to work on marching, music, etc..the sound is already there and will only get better as well as everything else..this wasnt a Performance this was just a ritual/practice..thats what practices are for..they have 2 weeks to go before the first performance..Im sure they want dissapoint esp with Mr Murray out to prove he's worthy to be BD.

JSU has the potential to have a great season. It is obvious the staff is up to the job :clap:. But I did notice some tempo and phasing problems when they were playing get ready, that should be fixed by next week though, good job...
