The Real 2009 SWAC Football Preview !!!!!! Western


1. GSU - They are the champs until someone beats them on the field.
2. PVU - It starts with defense. The Panthers can play D which gives them a chance each Saturday and for this season a Thursday also.
3. SU - No question they have an outstanding offense. but will the dog day D return is the question.
4. APB - another defense first offense second minded coach.
5. TSU - Cole is good, but to turn atound the mess he inherited in the second year i don't know. We all will when they play PVU the first game of the season. If they defeat the Panthers then all beat are off.:argue2:

I couldn't respond to this thread or their poll because it's "wishful" thinking @ best. To say that PV's current ills are: loss of QB and MLB which implies that we should be pre-season #3 SWAC W is almost laughable to those of us who are in the know. :| We've replaced, w/ quality, both positions among 2 others. We do return the nucleus (17 of 22 starters) from a team that went 9-1. I hope the SID's office puts our roster from 2 years ago lol up on our sports site because I know everyone will be studying it to figure out who came from where. lol :read:

Um, from the looks of it you guys have only 1 returning DB and your LBs are all gone. Your DL should be good though.
 



We lost 5 starters Jag-BR. 2LBers, 1DB, 1OL, and 1QB. Everyone else returns (literally). :read:

We've replaced (2-deepdom and 3-deepdom in certain instances) all positions that left and we're redshirting the <b>entire</b> 2009 recruiting class. :read: Also, we have quite a few FBS and FCS txfers. :read:

lol @ the "good eye" lol. Nah, Ed Moore was the only DB who left. lol (that was he in the pic dancing over your former SS from a few yrs ago lol)

I lied. Zenon (I think :uhoh: ) was a senior so he too graduated. Make that 3LBers (I think :uhoh: )who had to be replaced. I was thinking about 2 of the returning LBers who started in certain games. :read:

Zenon was primarily used as a backup....Revuelta was the starter and he's back. As I said before, our DEFENSIVE positions have been beefed up since the initial signing period. We're good. We lost 2 DBs mainly (Val Ford, Riante Jones). Moore was a backup also, but you couldn't tell. We've RELOADED! Seriously.

How is PVU leveraging Steven Payne out of Allen High School? He was a beast at wide receiver his junior year in high school, and move to QB as a senior. He got hurt very early in the year as a senior, therefore was not heavily recruited. I understand that he is at PV, matter of fact I know he is at PV. He is a talent. Are you all using him strictly as a receiver? He has the same talent as Dan Bukner(sp) that went to UT.

I was told of some kids that signed with PV out of TVJC. That is how yo azz know what school I am talking about. Don't worry I have informed Grambling's coaching staff of the caliber talent signing there out of metro DFW alone. Shii PV is going kick a whole lot of SWAC azz, but Grambling's. Grambling State got a damn good team. Strong, Fast, Talented,and well coached.

Seriously, I'm shooting you straight mane. I wasn't aware. The only kid that I knew to be on an old roster was a talented RB that came out of TVJC a few years ago but I'm not sure after that. I know you guys are loaded. We're trying to match you all. lol 22 <b>consecutive</b> years of humiliation excepting ONE year (17-14) makes one motivated to do better. :swink:

Also, I knew there was talent @ Allen HS because of that big 800-piece band they got. lol Seriously, for them to go to state the way they did meant there had to be some talent on their squad. I wasn't aware of their talent and ironically, I only have one connection there. I tend to stay in the HS football know of the districts that has Carroll/JustinNW/Keller/the areas central northward. :) I work the hell out of these parents w/ "PV hypnosis." :emlaugh: :read: (PV! PV! PV! PV! Your son/daughter WANTS to attend PV!!!! lol)
