Those interested also must purchase a season ticket. Only cash will be accepted for the $43 ticket.

This is why. Not only must u purchase a season ticket on top of the $43 purchase price, but you must also use cash. That was a dumb move by Braddy. Especially when u can just get a ticket(and better seats) directly thru MSU or ticket masters.

Plus the game will be on TV.

Braddy should know by now that JSU folks primarily purchase tickets on "game day" or on the Friday before game day.
I can't wait until we get a qualified AD to run the program.

If it was just the purchase of the one ticket, the tickets would've been soldout long ago, but for him to try and FORCE fans to buy a season ticket was his first mistake. Hell, it's not like Miss. State is a top five team. LOL!!

Besides, we have a 60,000 seat stadium any how, so what's the urgency to buy a season ticket?
Still at season's end, guess who'll be on top in SWAC attendance once again? LOL!!

Season tickets are garunteed money. Don't have to worry about weather, opponent, or a losing season hurting attendance. I understand, but don't necessarily agree with his approach.

students are having to buy through ticket-master... if students and locals were able to buy from campus (2,500) they would have been sold out earlier this summer. then season ticket buyers would have had to buy the msu ticket seperate and at a higher price.

jsu99, things could be worse... we could be smalltime like other schools; moving home games bc they don't make money playing at home!

This ploy simply backfired on him once again, as did the cancelling of several games. For all we know, a lot of folks are purchasing tickets via ticketmaster or perhaps directly from MSU if they can get 'em like that.

Then for him to go public like that and say "it is what it is" about JSU fans was stupid. He should've admitted that his plan backfired and that he's the reason the allotted tickets weren't soldout.

For a family of four, buying four tickets to that game meant that one would have to purchase four season tickets PLUS the tickets to the MSU game. That comes out to be close to 500 dollars.....in cash. LOL!! With this economy, not many folks have that kind of money to shell around just to see Miss. State play in Starkville.

Braddy should have made the tickets available for purchase without buying a season ticket at least a week before the deadline. I understood what he was trying to do, but why give the tickets back to State??? JayRob pointed out my dilemma. I needed four tickets, but not four season tickets. So I had to get mine elsewhere. This is just another example of poor decisions by Braddy.

where is ole Bobby at anyway? haven't heard any talk of him since last August!

I found ole Bobbie

[The coaching staff put players through a conditioning session that included a timed mile run before heading to the weight room for 225-pound bench presses.

This is my opinion only... if a lineman can't rep no more than 35 @ 225, he... let me stop. :| I'm 243lbs of pure fat old man body. I've recently rep'd 26@225 after 1hr spin class (and if you know what that's like, you'd understand how we burn over 1500+ calories in 50mins) and/or before playing basketball for 1.5-2.0hrs.

Interesting things I hear coming from some folx "strength" ppl. :retard: :|

I find it interesting that the best collegiate athletes can go to the NFL combine and do 25-30 reps @ 225, but all these Joe Blows can do it 40 times. Come on Panthro. Keep it 100.

I know. Sucks don't it?

In fact, I find it putridly sorry IMO. But, that's just me and ppl like me (mainly my own 1st cousins because we constantly brag one to the other about our rep/max 'prowess'). Doesn't get anymore 100 than that rob. (go to Mont Co and speak w/ certain Jeffersons/Harris' if you think I'm lieing) I guess that for me, it's more important to literally knock someone across from you out w/ strength/power rather than trying to 'out-quick' or 'out-run' him. lol That's what I've taught my own seed and I guess that's why @ the grand age of 17yrs and 8mos, he can rep 225 34 times AFTER a basketball session. :swink: Sucks huh? lol

I know the non-footballers-league recruits speed/quickness w/ a little bit of strength. If they recruited strictly strength (power) first and foremost, it would be a massively "slow" league of cock-strong dudes.

It's not my call and I don't have a dog in the hunt @ JSU. Just be thankful I'm not a SWAC strength coach or all of you would be visiting your teams' hospitals on Sunday morning after a game w/ my squad. lol :emlaugh:  :swink: 100!

— Freshamn receiver Rico Richardson (Natchez HS) made quite a few catches. Seemed to have good chemistry with Mike Mosley and McDonald.

This is what happens when folks get all up in JSU business and have no damn clue. Some folks need to just focus on their own loser programs.

With that total, your son would've tied for 2nd among O-linemen and 5th overall in last year's NFL combine. Even your total would've been in the top half of last year's participants. Robber says keep it 100, I say stop lying.

What does Jackson have to gain from selling the Tickets? I understand the AD.. People running out in buying tickets for one game that cost half of a season ticket.. Heck its going to be interesting what happens at Grambling for the OK state Game. OK State tickets are $60 to be in nose Bleed our best season tickets are about $70..

Keep your stats, *****. You're here working out w/ us so you're certainly in the know huh *****?

BTW, my son is 6'5" (actually 6'4.5" lol) and weighs 241lbs of pure muscle and 3% body fat (what he sez and what I visibly see) being recruited by every FBS school (basketball) known on the east coast. I started him lifting weights when he was 11 yrs young and he hasn't stopped yet.

I guess it's some sort of miracle to some of you people to see ppl benching 225lbs over 20+ times====> :retard:. I can go to the local HSs here and view that every single damned day. It's more common here but then again, that's what separates superior TX sports (HSs and colleges) from the rest of you huh? I agree.

Y'all did well to avoid us and run like the pussies you are. :swink: BTW, since you're all up in this convo, do you EVEN workout? lol Member of a gym? :emlaugh: Don't talk to me. That's very offensive if you don't workout almost every day every single week. lol

The key is how many reps are REAL reps that would be accepted at the combine. Most of those cats who did 30+ combine reps probably could do 50+ "weightroom" reps.

I don't know what PV's numbers have to do with this. You came on here smacking our linemen claiming how many reps you can press. Only problem is you're claiming more reps than most NFL linemen. Come on now.

BTW, if you're 243lbs of pure fat, you might wanna consider a personal trainer. Obviously going at it alone aint working.

Obviously Sarcasm 101 wasn't offered @ UR undergrad======> :retard: lol. I would've responded in like if an article abt PV and it's linemen were posted w/ the benching 225 deal, so no, I wasn't smacking. LOL@ "243lbs of pure fat." :emlaugh: Clueless. lol

At the HS level locally, it was an FBS bound HS QB who I saw bench over 20+ reps. :retard: I won't get into technique etc but I certainly know how to count a rep when I see one. :swink: Again, some of you are acting like it's some type of "miracle" when you see your college level student-athlete doing it. God forbid if he's 6' 8" and 350 lbs. :emlaugh: You don't expect that? I see why we pushed you all around on the fball field the last time y'all came here. :emlaugh: :p

P, we hear stories of super workouts all the time. Then the guys work out for the NFL and come nowhere close to their reported norm. So, I'm not concerned about the reports about JSU reps, your reaction or PV. See us on the field and the only pussies will be wearing purple and gold. Grambling is the only SWAC school that concerns me.
