The James Bell Years LOL

Bell had a great media day, he brought Get Ready, Robber and a host of JSU Alums to Birmingham. In addition, he got rid of the faded tee shirts and dressed them in expensive Polo Shirts. He had them almost looking as good as the AAMU folks. Since he was fired, I have not seen another JSU Fan in a Polo Shirt.

I am still waiting for yall to get to the part where he call all of you JSU faithful stupid.

Who cares.:noidea:
By then nobody was going to the games anyway.
Guess that school up in Illinois was stupid also.
They fired his arse after a 1-10 and a 0-11 season.

i remember hearing about Robert Hughes being fired. i told my father that a guy that goes 7-4 three straight years deserves to keep his job. My father said that J-State fans deserve and want better... Wow ten years after the fact we were both right. Most JSU fans I think would love to have Hughes back because he is one of their own. But then again when Culberson hired bell from Houston Chavez High school I knew it was gonna be trouble. So someone give me some insight besides the obvious(losing) as to what went wrong during the Bell years...

Has anyone posted the handshake pic yet?

Then Comegy will be kicked to the curb, too. Too bad yall can't say the same for Pete. No matter how much the program continues to fall he's still gonna be there with his 200K guaranteed.

BTW, say what's up to Spivery for me! :lol:

MB is looking around to find... :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

found them!:lol::lol:

BB.:lol:
This SWAC would close down if we said F-it.
These fool's would not have anything to talk about. :lol:

You're right players. Kenn needs to give a portion of his proceeds to JSU folks for keeping TSPN up and running.:tup:

Oh, by the way, didn't b*ll beat Grambling??:lol:

I think we may have given JSU its worst asswhippins ever those years. The last year, we had people who hadnt played in their AAMU career scoring touchdowns.... a qb who hadnt taken a snap in an AAMU uniform ran for a 70 yard touchdown on the last play of the game lol. I think we won something like 56-7.

:shame::shame: I still have many nightmares about the bell error. As a member of Bell's original signing class, I must say that those were some of the darkest days of my life. We were booed by our own fans relentlessly. I was hit a Gatorade bottle walking out the Superdome in 2004. :smh:

Bell has a good defensive mind and he can draw up ways to defend anything you throw at him. He had two major downfalls.

Bruh......:emlaugh: Damn. :smh: lol

That is why ya'll miss **** the most out of every school in the SWAC. I honestly believe that if **** had never came to JSU, that AAMU would still be winless vs JSU since entering the SWAC and Alcorn would not have had a win over us since 1994... lol

Nobody mentioned the Alabama State game when Bell said "they play the games to win."

Or what about the Bell 99 percent theory?

TP... Bells sack was ALL down your tonsils...you were still predicting 12-0 seasons every year.

This was the exact quote... I heard it for myself at Capitol City Classic pep rally....

"Players play, coaches coach, fans cheer"..... I thought the JSU fans were going to kick his ass off the stage lol

Nope... sure wasn't. Even Mighty Hater will back me up on that. I WAS predicting AAMU wins tho. :lmao:

....'cause ya'll are AAMU.

The problem when we played you all is that the team had given up by then. There were not championship hopes, not winning season hopes, etc... Heck, ya'll STILL braggin on beating Kent on crutches ..even though he got off those crutches and threw two TD passes, said, "Yep, that's the same ole AAMU I been whoopin ALL these years", and went back to the bench..

We didn't care. That was the same week Bell got fired, so we were on a high and already looking forward to next year being Bell-free.

TP what was the score when he threw those TD passes? lol...He was playing the 5th team defense TP lol Hell the clock was ALREADY running.

ummm TP,
2004 was the ONLY year that you had the good sense (hanks rob) to not pick jsue to win.
:lol::lol:

It was a shame how you rode with Bell til the end, but you were quick to throw Hughes under the bus, even though he put in MANY years and washed MANY loads for jsue. :smh::smh:
After all these years, I still say MD was right. You and JW had a serious run in when you were in school. And you still holding it against him.
:lol::lol:

but back to Bell,

that smirk used to crack me up.
:lmao::lmao:

You all did Bell so wrong::lol:

Petition:
To: Jackson State University Athletic Department and President Ronald Mason:

Because of our love and support of Jackson State Football, we the following students, faculty, alumni, and fans of Jackson State University, sincerely and urgently request that you fire James Bell as head football coach immediately.

Our request is based on Coach Bell's total ineptitude in dealing with all facets of JSU's Football program since the inception of his hiring and his total lack of experience as a head coach on the collegiate level.

WE THE UNDERSIGNED agree that since Coach Bell can't properly train our players, run imaginative, winning plays or develop a Championship Team, then it's time for him to go! Please sign and share your comments on this matter!

"Sincerely, The Undersigned"
