Basketball game turns into brawl

EVERGREEN, AL. (WSFA) - A basketball game in South Alabama turned into an all out brawl earlier this week. One person was sent to the hospital, three others were taken to jail.

The violent video shows six men on a basketball court beating a man they've surrounded. Another person off camera is heard screaming "kick him!"

The beating took place at the old Evergreen High School gym. Police tell WSFA 12 News the victim made every effort to avoid the fight, but acted in self defense when the first two attacked him. The fight quickly escalated as four others joined in.

Officers arrested 37-year-old Mark Gill, 28-year-old Christopher Ingram and 26-year-old Derrick Rogers. Authorities are still searching for the other three suspects.
:smh::smh::smh::smh::smh::smh:

Evergreen Police say one of those suspects, Martin Jackson, may be on the run. If you can help find him, call Evergreen Police.

The victim, who was not identified, was flown to a hospital in Pensacola, Florida where he underwent surgery.

Wow. I, honestly, don't know what's sadder....the fight, itself, or the ages of the dudes involved?

It's ironic that you said Bama...cuz, I JUST ran into this one yesterday....

:smh:

Does anyone know when this happened?

What's sad, is that someone is making this a "Bama" thing, or a "Lower Alabama" thing. We ALL know that this mess, unfortunately, happens EVERYWHERE. :smh:

Unfortunately in this topic and issue this IS a Bama thing, cause it did happen in Alabama. you need to go sat down somewhere with the political bs.

Am I serious? Was profanity necessary?

Anyway, my point was that "Bama" could have been left out of the title of the thread, period. This is not a Bama thing, its an ignorance thing. And ignorance is in no way limited to Alabama.

what location are both videos recorded at? don't worry, i'll wait.

Irrelevant.

The location of the act, is not nearly as important here as the act itself.

That video is about violence and stupidity. Doesn't matter if it happened in lower Alabama, or downton Atlanta.

Uh...I wasn't referring to WHERE the location was....I was stating the mentality :retard:

 @ Xhale

Bama is a term that is used not meant to specifically mean from Alabama! Get up on the terminology:-)!

The Term 'Bama' explained:
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=bama

Bama"
Originated from Black youth in Washington DC.
1. Original meaning was "cant dress well" or "fashion misfit"
2. Now the word has a more general use meaning "person", as how Whites use "Dude"
Originally, a Bama was a southerner (from Alabama, for instance) trying to blend in up north, but was so obviously country that it didn't work.
Now it's more general and just means something funny-looking, unsophisticated or country as hell.

the funnier part of this is I actually didn't take the term "Bama" as used in the title as it being used as the slang term, cause the reality of the topic is it was indeed in Alabama, and that's what i thought it was referring to. I could see if the videos were from Texas or Nebraska somewhere and the topic was "These Bama's fightin again". but damn, it is in Bama. it is so not that deep to be mad or offended. this whole discrepancy is so tickling the hell outta me and I was born and raised in Alabama.
