I "shole" hope not........ :emlaugh: If I was Pete, I would get off of the bus throwing the football VERTICALLY! :emlaugh: If they score 40 and we score 45, we win. :emlaugh: ULL can be upset but Southern has to go in there with a nasty disposition and an attitude that someone is trying to steal their lunch and woman......... :emlaugh:

Now you know the refs will not let the team get even close to ULL, Pete need to hurry up and leave, maybe if we had a staff we could make this a great game!

Man ULL has been beaten by schools on par with us lately, the problem is the coaches attitude. We just don't have that type of staff with the can do attitude like we had when Pete first came to SU.

As the saying goes..."Attitude reflects leadership"

All TRUE...........It is the ATTITUDE. If we had an AD that would put his foot in Pete Ass and on his neck, and someone that have the right old SWAC attitude and mentality, it is no way we would be playing sorry, horizontal passing, down field is your enemy, backwards QB delay, get your QB killed damn you running back you're not the first running option, I can't spell defense football....... :emlaugh:

Pete is making too much money and have too much power (that he apparently doesn't know how to handle) without production!!! If he was winning and the product looked good, I wouldn't say shat......I'll leave it alone after saying one more thing.........The referee ain't going to "let" us win is bullshat! :emlaugh: That sounds like some kind of shat that AAMU would say or Grambling at the Bayou Classic. :emlaugh:

McNeese went into Lafayette two years ago, kicked the crud out of them 38-17 (something around there) and even took a knee deep in their territory late in the game.

I'm going to be amused again this offseason with Southern fans thinking they have a shot at an FCS (i.e Houston game last year), only to see them get throttled, right? I'm as big a fan of FCS beating FBS teams as anyone - especially if its the Ragin' Cajuns - but some of the things that I am sure are going to be said have me reaching for the popcorn.

Pete needs to stay right where he is. If it wasn't for Pete, SU wouldn't have an outright SWAC title since 1968. Since Pete's arrival in the early '90's, you have won three or more. Don't mess with success.:emlaugh:

My 1st cousin's son is the projected starter @ RB for ULL and he's a legit 4.3 forty guy who is very hard-nosed while running/blocking w/ an attitude. :read: I can't wait to see how this turns out lol just like the deal last year w/ sTu playing Ark St, where again, another younger cousin was RB and had 180+ something yards (I think). I never rubbed it in sTu's face because that was a very demoralizing loss. I'll see kinfolk @ the fam reunion this upcoming Sat and ask him for a prediction on what he thinks he'll do. :emlaugh:

..and we wonder why 1-AA teams can't fill their schedule...sheesh. There are more than enough 1-A teams in Louisiana ALONE for them not to need to play any 1-AA teams ever. I think that money should go to schools who have made the sacrifice to move up.

Why would it be the Tulane payout? Tulane is FBS. McNeese and NWST are FCS. You guys wouldn't get the same payout at Alabama that a Troy would. It's the politics.

With them being instate, it said the pay would be $350,000 to $400,000. That sounds about right. Trying to remember what the most an FBS has paid to an instate FCS. It may be $400k. I know a few schools that got $600-700k, but you pay more for flying a team in. The extra money covers charter flights, etc.

If Mississippi State can afford to pay us those numbers, LSU will go a little higher on their payout to a in state FCS team.

Not if they don't have to. It's not like the 1-AA schools are going to turn down the 400K. So why should they go higher. It's not about what they can afford.

Is LSU doing some sort of home-home with Tulane? 2-1 deal or something?

Alcorn went down there in 2006 and completely pi$$ed me off.
They got the ball inside ULL's 10 yard line 3 times and could only get 1 TD.
One time they fumbled the ball on the one yard line.
If they had scored just 2 of those times, ULL would have got beaten cause Alcorn was driving the field on them at will in the first 3 qtrs.

ULL scored a couple time's at the end of the 3rd and the 4th to win 24-6.

No. It is a home and home series. LSU will get a cut of the revenue when the play in the Dome. Although the game is played in N.O., but has and will continue to feel like a home game for them.

I forgot about that. Yeah, Alcorn came to play that night.

That was ULM.......Basically the same caliber of ball club as ULL. Those scrubs can be beaten......NWST has done it several times and McNeese own their butts......It all depends on what frame of mind the team (led by the coaches) goes in the game with. We did not have to worry about the mentality in the 90's. As I said for what ever reason, when Casem left, S.U. mentality changed.........Read into it what ever you want.........

You're amused at anything to the SWAC's detriment. Tell us something we don't know.......Please stop acting like you want to see S.U. beat anyone with the pro FCS bulls$%# :emlaugh:

If anything would turn bad.. it would be far worse for LSU...Alot of top black prospects would turn away from LSU in the near and far future..

Nothing would turn out bad.........LSU would kick us to sleep and everyone would be gone by the third quarter.........We are not ready to play LSU............a long, long way from being ready.........

co-sign! LSU would embarrass our team plain and simple!

But you would still make 250,000 dollars to help keep Black students from losing scholarships from other sports. Which is more important, your ego or getting some much needed dollars?

Hell, yall can't lose to LSU no worse than yall lost 55-7 to Houston.

Don't speak so soon, JSU has to deal with Miss. State this season, that beating is going to be 2 times worse what Grambling did to JSU in BHAM!:lmao:

Riding Gram's nutt's.
Ya'll lost by 52 point's to Houston.
Which is also the point he was trying to make on ya'll playing LSU.
Can't be any worse and you still get a 6 figure payout close to home.

It's not nutt riding, i'm only stating the truth! JSU folks need to worry about their own team, if that's what you call those guys
!

There's no reason for us to step out our door for $250,000.00, gesh we make that as a norm, besides I don't understand where you come up with that number when everybody knows LSU pays any where from 450-500k for these type of games.
