So why aren't ALL children stoned for disrespecting adults? Why aren't ALL men and women killed for committing adultery or fornication? That's scriptural and should be followed IF it's true that not ONE jot or tittle of God's word is to be ignored.

Folks love to pick and choose which scriptures they want to keep and disgard the ones they don't like, until a more convenient time.

If religious fanatics like Alan Keyes ever got into power, there would probably be mass killings of Americans for breaking religious commands.

Christ is letting man know God will in no way change His law, and all men will be judged by God's law. We can change and doctor the law, however God and Christ will stand on that law. This is why Christians must repent and ask forgiveness of our sins to square ourselves with God. Man's laws may free you on earth, but he can't free you from God's. In other words, you may get away with murder on earth, but you won't get away with it in heaven.

What about their platform do you disagree with?

Teaching children about our Creator is not mentioned in the education platform, therefore I disagree with the education platform. Learning about God is the foundation for any child.

Republicans want to cut taxes instead of putting a permanent limit on federal taxes. IMO, 10% should suffice. Also, republicans have no desire to get rid of the IRS and this upsets me more than any tax cut they can give. The IRS should be first to go followed by the federal reserve act.

Lastly, the republicans don't have a plan to create our own currency. You have to be a complete idiot to not realize you could create and control your own currency.

Republicans are afraid to push nuclear energy and they have bought into the global warming lie. Global warming is just another way to scare Americans and a genius way to rob Americans openly.

LIke I said, we don't need to mix religion and politics or we'll end up with total dictatorship (like Rome, Hitler, the Inquisition, etc), who will order mass killings of those who don't believe like they do. Alan Keyes is not stable enough to lead people on a national level.

JayRob, I agree with all of the scripture. I don't have to worry about bringing my kids before a court to have them killed because my kids are God fearing obedient kids. Scripture states in order to have children killed, then the "parents" must take action first in order to fully obey the law. No where in scripture does it say that "any" citizen can walk up to "any" child and slay him or her.


Your take is that if we're not following "all" of the law, then we shouldn't follow any of God's law. We differ here because I believe if America adopted God's way of doing things, then evil Americans would fear committing crimes......that's scripture. Again, the problem is not God's law, the problem is man not obeying God's law. If the murder rate is high in your city, it's because the city is not obeying God's law.

Look, I'm all for nuclear energy, but when you can find or create away to safely store the waste, then you'll continue to have this problem with popular support or lack thereof. There has to be a plan in place from a project management perspective in order for us to go full steam ahead with nuclear energy. Yucca Mountain has not proved to be as safe as many thought it would be and there are still problems that engineers don't fully know how to solve.

As for global warming, if God said that this Earth would end by fire, how do you suppose that happens unless 1)we lose the protective layer surrounding earth, 2)some major asteroid/comet impact, 3)sun flares that reach here and disintegrate everything. :noidea:

All of the above involves global warming in some capacity as the fossil fuels we emit will eventually wear down the protective shield of the Earth resulting in catastrophic damage. :lecture:

What "God" were they referring to is the key question.

The "founding fathers" were Deists who did not believe the bible was true.
When the Founders wrote the nation's Constitution, they specified that "no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States." (Article 6, section 3)

This provision was radical in its day-- giving equal citizenship to believers and non-believers alike. They wanted to ensure that no single religion could make the claim of being the official, national religion, such as England had. Nowhere in the Constitution does it mention religion, except in exclusionary terms. The words "Jesus Christ, Christianity, Bible, and God" are never mentioned in the Constitution-- not once.

God did not say the earth will be destroyed by man, and you can't show one scripture to support your argument. The fire you're talking about comes from God and not global warming. I can confirm this by the verses below.......

Deuteronomy 4:24 For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.

Deuteronomy 9:3 Understand therefore this day, that the LORD thy God is he which goeth over before thee; as a consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he shall bring them down before thy face: so shalt thou drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the LORD hath said unto thee.

Hebrews 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire.

This same fire can destroy and heal depending on the individual's relationship with God.

Yes God will destroy the Earth, but he also has the power to allow us to play a key role in it through our own ineptitude and creations!

Nuclear wars, famine, water contamination, etc. All that stuff is discussed in Revelations! :nod: And all of that stuff has the ability to be corrupted by MAN! The point that I'm making is that the Earth will be destroyed by fire! Point blank. Now how do you suppose it's going to happen? :noidea: I would say those 3 things I listed above are pretty damn close!

The earth will not be destroyed. Why would God destroy the very place heaven will be? God stated He's coming to earth to "renew" the earth..........not destroy it. In fact, God's most favorite place in the universe is Jerusalem and this is where He shall return.

Isaiah 65:17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

Isaiah 66:22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.

2 Peter 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

These are only a few examples as to why religious zealots should NEVER be placed in power.

The death you're mentioning is dealing with the "High Office", however it does not have anything to do with common people. God doesn't play when it comes to His priest and judgment starts at the pulpit. God killed a priest for touching the ark of the covenant after all priest were instructed not to touch the ark. The priest was trying to prevent the ark from falling off the cart, however God saw it as no excuse because that never would have happened if the priests had carried the ark as God instructed.

Again, I support all of God's scripture. Some of the things in the scripture may be a bit strong, but I would never tell God I disagree with Him.

But scripture does imply that God and his angels will pour our their wrath upon the Earth ultimately leading to it's destruction and paving the way for a new Heaven and a new Earth!

And again for your global warming argument:

Then the fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and power was given to him to scorch men with fire. And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory (Revelation 16:8-9).

And since you said that mankind (CANNOT) cause destruction to the Earth, please elaborate on the scripture below:

The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come,
And the time of the dead, that they should be judged,
And that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints,
And those who fear Your name, small and great,
And should destroy those who destroy the earth (Revelation 11:18).

Blue, if there is no more sea as the scripture suggests, how can Humans survive? :confused: Surely this must mean that Earth is destroyed right! Destruction not in the sense that the Planet will blow up, but let's just say that Earth becomes what present day Mars is...uninhabitable! :nod:


Global warming in heaven? :confused: Huh! You're taking this stuff to literal. Perhaps what God mean was the "heavenly bodies above..i.e. the Milky Way Galaxy, etc. Who knows...maybe God will take us to a new planet and a new galaxy. :noidea:

Yes, Christ will make sure God's wrath is poured, however you forgot to identify who the wrath is directed towards. The wrath is directed towards evil people who dwell on earth. What happened when God poured His wrath on Sodom and Gomorrah? What happened when God flooded the earth? What happened when God caused the Ice Age? Was the earth destroyed, or was it orbiting on its axis. Again, the wrath is directed towards people that hate Him, and has nothing to do with destroying earth. There is no scripture that states God will destroy the earth, however there are scriptures that states God will pour His wrath on evildoers who dwell on earth. You have to close your flesh eyes and open your spiritual. Look at what's going on spiritually in the world. People in this world are trying to make right wrong and wrong right.

The word destroy(phtheirō) is translated as corruption and is referencing spiritual corruption on earth. What did Paul tell us below......

Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
