Why didn't Keyes warn Notre Dame when Bush spoke a few years ago? Bush is an advocate for the death penalty. Aren't Catholics against the death penalty?

Exactly! Alan Keys dumb arse still has sour grapes because Obama has kicked his arse on more than one occasion.

Yes, most Catholics are against the death penalty, however God is not. Keyes supports the death penalty, so there would be no need to warn Notre Dame of a righteous law.

What did Keyes and others do worthy of jail time? I have video of hundreds of students protesting and they were not arrested, but they arrest Keyes for the very thing their own students and alumn protest.

No, the Catholic Church is against the death penalty. So now you are saying the Catholic Church is wrong for opposing the death penalty because God is all for it?

Styles, I don't have a problem stating the catholic church is wrong for not supporting the death penalty because they are. There are horrific crimes worthy of death, and the church should support the death penalty in reference to horrific crimes committed by evil people.

University spokesman Dennis Brown told the Chicago Breaking News Center that Keyes was given notice that university policy bans protests unless they are organized by student groups and approved in advance.

Brown further stated that university policy is to arrest anyone who refuses to leave campus after being notified.

"We've got a long established policy that only members of the university community can organize or lead a protest, and they have to be approved by our office of student affairs," Brown said.

The university is established on catholic principles and Keyes is a practicing catholic. How is he not part of the university's catholic community?

I'm still trying to figure out how protesting quietly and peacefully is worthy of jail time?

Naw RB, I have to step in on this one. You can't try to spin this one. The policy states that only members of the "UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY" Keys is not apart of the "UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY" It didn't say anything about the "university's catholic community"

dude, if you think that Alan Keyes is a legitimate voice of reason, then you have joined him in jumping of the deep end. Keyes is a clown. I don't like to spread the moniker around, but if there is a guy who fits the "Uncle Tom" description.....its Keyes. Heck, he makes Clarence Thomas look like a hard brotha.

God supports the death penalty?

Cite your authority.

Yes, the word!

Exodus 22:18 Thou shalt not suffer a witch(DRUG DEALER) to live.

Numbers 35:16 And if he smite him with an instrument of iron, so that he die, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.

Numbers 35:17 And if he smite him with throwing a stone, wherewith he may die, and he die, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.

Numbers 35:18 Or if he smite him with an hand weapon of wood, wherewith he may die, and he die, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.

Numbers 35:19 The revenger of blood himself shall slay the murderer: when he meeteth him, he shall slay him.

Numbers 35:20 But if he thrust him of hatred, or hurl at him by laying of wait, that he die;

Numbers 35:21 Or in enmity smite him with his hand, that he die: he that smote him shall surely be put to death; for he is a murderer: the revenger of blood shall slay the murderer, when he meeteth him.

Malachi 3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Umm..nice try, but that's old testament!

You of all people should know the difference between the new testament and old testament right? I mean especially with all of your bible quoting on this board! :goodbad:

We know that the new testament represents a new change and philosophy in teaching considering that Jesus died for all of mankinds sins! Show us in the new testament where God/Jesus has ordained and supported the killing of man! :lecture:

What new change are you talking about? Christ states that not one jot or minutest part of the law will be changed. In fact, Jesus states He will fulfil God's law. I think you're mixing salvation with judging. Christ does the saving and God does the judging. You won't be judged by salvation, however you will be judged by God's law. This is why we repent and ask forgiveness of our sins because we break God's laws. Do you not follow the 10 commandments which are from the old testament? Also, the blood sacrifices were done away with in the new testament because Jesus became the final blood sacrifice. The new covenant is in reference to salvation being offered to all of mankind, however the law is to be obeyed by everyone, and is confirmed and will be fulfilled by Christ.

Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Galatians 3:17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.

RB, you are slipping bruh. You know those scriptures on the death penalty you quoted are part of the old testament and the law. We are not bound by the law any more.

Matthew 5:38-45
38"You have heard that it was said, 'Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.'[a]
39But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also.
40And if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well.
41If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles.
42Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.
Love for Enemies
43"You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.'
44But I tell you: Love your enemies[c] and pray for those who persecute you,
45that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

.......then please explain what Jesus meant in "each" of the first two verses below? If I have it so wrong, then you should be able to explain it whereby I can understand. Also, the last verse would need interpretation as well?

Matthew 5:17 Think not that I(Jesus) am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I(Jesus) am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

RB..........You would try to justify why pig isn't pork if it was a right wing value........Do you not know how transparent you are and have you no shame? :emlaugh:

All I can do is be myself, stand on what "I" believe, and others can believe as "they" choose.

So why aren't ALL children stoned for disrespecting adults? Why aren't ALL men and women killed for committing adultery or fornication? That's scriptural and should be followed IF it's true that not ONE jot or tittle of God's word is to be ignored.

Folks love to pick and choose which scriptures they want to keep and disgard the ones they don't like, until a more convenient time.

If religious fanatics like Alan Keyes ever got into power, there would probably be mass killings of Americans for breaking religious commands.
