First off, republicans holler, "Free market!" They claim the problem with the last 8 years of free market was greed. Except, free market and capitalism is all about greed. So free market ideas failed b/c ceo's were too greedy :retard:? We can't trust the gov't but we can't trust ceo's either b/c they lie about what they made (see Enron, Madoff and every other financial institution in NY). As someone said at least we can't vote change into the gov't. With those companies we are told by republicans, they are too big to fail, so we have to bail them out. But if ordinary americans need a bailout, we say they are looking for a handout. If you can't bail out the people of this country for their dumb decisions then don't bailout S & L's or Ford or whoever b/c they were dumb and obstinate in their business practices.
Gov't jobs are as good as any other. People don't care as long as they can pay their mortgage/rent and put food on the table. Hopefully this recession will see people continue to pay down their debt, save & build wealth.
Lastly, no one talks about something I believe is primary to our recession. There is no US manufacturing base. It is so hard to find anything made in the US with US employees is ridiculous. If I can buy American, I can help American companies and citizens, but most of our companies are american in name only. Corporate head quaters here but all their employees live in China. We pay for those low every day prices provided by Wal-mart with real jobs that provide a decent wage and good benifits. Almost nothing in their stores is made here (and that used to be their selling point.)
