Believe me I had a ton of ideas for SU when I first got out of school. After being active in our Houston alumni chapter as a VP and learning who the players are in the SU political machine then you find out what you need to know. Beyotching about it on TSPN aint going to help your cause. You are going to have to get many behind you and have some money to get their attention. That's how it is done at any school. Not just the SWAC. You have to get the masses and money behind your efforts. Until you do that. All this pointing the fingers at SU, Gram and Bama State is C_ _ _ish! I do believe Mason may be the longest sitting President in the SWAC right now. Ask him these questions on why he sits back and lets SU, Gram and Bama State run him. I would love to hear his answer back to you.:lol:

Son, you have no idea! :shame: You'd be surprised what SOME of us have already done! However, garnering support for an obvious cause doesn't do any good if the "environment" SU, GRAM, & ASU doesn't change. And in this case, as long as your game stays on the same date, and we have the SCG, NO ONE in this conference can get a bid to the playoffs!

Money can only do so much in situations like these. However, it appears that you all are okay with this and don't strive for anything else. Our Council of Presidents only act what options they have. And right now the option for the playoffs is not feasible because schools like SU & Gram, refuse to "give a little" in order to "get a lot!" :shame:

Yall act like he does. So why does he side with the other Presidents? You guys act like SU and Gram has all the presidents voting in our favor from all the complaints. That's my point. And for the academic inferior.......you can stuff that crap. Out in the real world aint nobody running around saying none of our schools are kicking the other's arse. The white boys who own these corporations could care less when they are ready to hire. Southernites hold just as many important jobs as JSU alums do. Especially since we have been established in Engineering for a long time. But that's another subject.

Back to Mason not knowing athletics, So if you know that......then the alums job is to educate him on the sports stuff. Where is the BB Association stance on the playoffs. Surely they have Mason's ear. Don't they subsidize some of Comegy's salary. Then there is Comegy......surely he can speak to his Bosses. Can't yall get your AD to answer those questions then? Surely Braddy wants to go the playoffs like some of yall?

You know why they have won.......because the new school meaning our age group aint bringing isht to the table to make any changes. All we are doing is talking. When we mobilize a coalition of our peer group and others and have some money to influence decisions at our schools like the old heads have done. All we can do is sit here on a message board and talk about it. Folks need to pull a Barack Obama and mobilize all the folks who want change at our schools and then make your move. Until then........it is nothing more than hot air to the old guard. They aint going do nothing until you gather the money, power and respect to do so.

Yeah there is no tv in a third world nation like Sippi so I know yall didn't know. News flash play boy JSU was never ever a thought out side of Sippi. No one I have ever met in the ATL doing the 80's when I came up talked about JSU. Except when yall came to Fulton county stadium and got your azz kicked. We laughed all day. :lol:

If you have done so much.....then you would know the same thing MD, SOG, C-leb28 and myself know then and would not be asking these questions. Mason, Braddy and Comegy would have already told you why things are the way they are. If they are as pissed as you are then they would be devising a plan with all you alums and boosters who are in the know on how JSU should approach this without involving the SWAC if they can't do anything with the other presidents. You should be thinking lets leave the conference and putting together a great plan to make it happen.

Stop trying to say it is a SU, Gram, or Bama State thing. This is a JSU thing, an AAMU thing, a PV thing, A UAPB thing,etc....

The truth is that aint no pressure on JSU powers that be to buck the SWAC system from yall as alums. Simple as that.

So you're saying that the SWAC (your presidents) voted to have an SCG in order to accommodate SU, GSU and ASU? :lol: You remember there was a Heritage Bowl back then. The reason the Heritage Bowl failed is because Rudy fooled the folks involved (including the presidents and meac) into thinking we had NCAA approval for 2 post season events. Rudy stole the money and had the SWAC fined for having SU play 2 post season events. (The playoffs count as 1 event regardless of the # of games a team plays n the playoffs)

After that he helped end the Heritage bowl by keeping the SCG.

That's all we have been saying. I just don't believe our peer group even mobilized is going to agree with the playoffs. Getting rid of the SCG......I believe that can happen. But changing those games is going to come with too much resisitance in every age group. The SCG is fairly new and not near and dear to the hearts of the SWAC alums.

Funny how JSU has a georga club,michigan club,illinois club, dayum near every major city has a club a JSU and nobody heard of us.

If funny how JSU and BET were joined at the hip for years yet nobody hear of us.

It funny how JSU has 3 hall of famers and still send more players to the NFL than any HBCU in the last 20 years and nobodies heard of JSU.

It funny we had the current President use our campus in his campain and our orchesta played at two innaugaration events and nobody knows about JSU

It funny how we are listed as a National University and have been invited to perform on National TV that no one heard of us.

I guess your ghetto vision was blurred.
 
Bottom line is AAMU played five OOC games last year. We are playing four OOC games this year. Get your AD to do their jobs. We did!!!!

See this is the problem. You are too busy focusing on what "WE" are going to do instead of focusing on what you and your folks are going to do. SU and GSU folks don't have a problem with the BC where it is. You do?

Bruh I ain't got to lie to kick it. Ask Snake how many folks from the ATL that he knows wanted to go to JSU? I know the truth hurts, but it is what it is. The MCC clasic was on BET years before we joined the SWAC. Even in 89 my freshman year. Obama would have been crazy to come to Huntsville. We are a republican town full of Army contracts. Love the bruh, but it was business. Not personal. :tup:
