UAPB has 21 offensive rebounds and 30 defensive rebounds... Wow! That's domination.

They are blowing the whistle so much it sounds like a coach running suicides... (when they blow the whistle each time you reach the lines)

Don't these teams know how to lose and comeback to fight on Monday? 2nd game tonight with 15 plus delta and the loser is calling timeouts and fouling as though they have a chance still. Don't get me wrong, I'm the ultimate in fighting til the end. But, don't bring shame to yourself. :shame: This game should have been over about 10 minutes ago.

Ummm..ZN, all of what you heard about him being fired, rehired, assistants fired..and rehired...is factual....and has been noted in prior threads on TSPN! lol..

Shirley was at the game.......She knew she was needed...
She was like a celebrity someone always stopping by talking to her.
Most people had stop watching the girls game by halftime.
 
GOOD GAME TONITE FOR MY LIONS!! MISSISSIPPI'S COACH GOT HIT WITH A TECH FOR GETTING INTO IT WITH THE REF. I'M SURPRISED HE ONLY GOT ONE. MISSISSIPPI'S PLAYER #44 GOT HIT WITH A TECH AND THEN HE TRIED TO START A FIGHT ON THE COURT. HE WAS CUSSING OUR PLAYER RICKY PARKS OUT ON THE FLOOR. AFTER THE GAME, #44 AGAIN TRIED TO START ANOTHER FIGHT WITH PARKS. THE COACHES AND SECURITY HIT THE FLOOR FAST TO PREVENT ANY TROUBLE. MISSISSIPPI WAS ESCORTED OFF THE COURT FROM A SEPARATE EXIT TO KEEP BOTH TEAMS A PART. :shame::shame:

MVSU's coach was supposed to be the second coming according to MVSU fans on here...he had talent better than Stribling had in the 80s on the team...George Ivory got the best of him....and George would've taken that job for less back in 2004

as for Grambling..shooting is our weakness on the men's side...one shot in 6 minutes in the second half...but to almost win says we're going in the right direction...the women will take some time...there are some personalities on that team...

it takes a special person to work at Alcorn....
 
I'm gonna' say this for the last time: PV mens and womens squad are very good and vastly improved IMO. :| I haven't been this excited about our mens team potential since Coach Francis first year. :read:

I expect our womens team to have formidable competition from sTu, SU, GSU, and JSU women. :read: But we're still going to win the regular season tilt. :read:

I hadn't heard or read the assistance were rehired. I just heard they were fired when he was rehired. :shame: Nonetheless, it is all a mess.

That is the gist of what the broadcast was saying without getting into a lot of details. Was there any SWAC administrators there or is this something that will be reported by the refs? This type of behavior should be met with some form of official SWAC punishment. Not doing so only give the stamp of approval for it to happen again. If that is the case, it could get real ugly in the feature and bring national shame to the conference. Nip it in the bud immediately SWAC!

Teams that get their butts handed to them must learn to be competitive until the game is over, but to always remain professional. You attend institutions of HIGHER LEARNING and your character should represent it.

Trant Simpson was benched for the first half and part of the second half for missing early morning shoot around.... and our second string point guard is out for the sesason. So we played two point guards that havent played all year. Soon as Trant came in (I really think Pettaway wasnt going to let him play at all, but he REALLY didnt want to lose)... things changed. Trant didnt score alot of points but he took over the game on the defensive side. He is a ball hawk.

Did you just throw out team names? Texas So just got beat by 30 by SU.... GSU girls just got beat by 15 by AAMU, and JSU women are horrible this year.

LOL It was not that serious for a SWAC review. It was just a heated exchange of words when the teams were shaking each other's hands after the game. MVSU went to their dressing room and UAPB theirs.:lol:

Valley was just cold. They missed a lot of shots. Coach put the reserves in who does not play much with about 2 minutes in the game when the lead was 28 points.

No. I know what I'm doing. I <b>believe</b> in sTu's ladies HC 101% from previous affiliations. :read: She is somebody I'd WANT on my team, literally. She'll have her squad ready. She's ridiculously competitive and THAT is where it starts because it permeates down to the team. :read: Just sit back and watch how he zaps local H-town and D/FW-town talent in the near future. GSU's coaching capability is there as well. That's why I listed them. I put JSU women in there because of their play the last 2 consecutive years. I'm not sure what they return, etc but I don't think it's fair not to include them in the mix considering their recent successes. :)

I'm very, very excited about our womens and mens teams, obviously. I LOVE to <b>visibly see</b> improvement from year to year. For instance, our 6' 6" center on the womens squad is lighter than a feather weight wise... but if she's in the paint, <b>there is NO ONE in the SWAC that can prevent her from scoring</b> <u>other than to foul or out muscle her (read: push her around physically which SHOULD be a foul but these damned stupidly dumbly backwards folks wearing the stripes won't call it fairly MOST of the time :) ). Also, her defense has VASTLY improved. Try to put a shot up over her and watch the rejection. :) Again, the DUMBLY STUPID refs won't call fairly and it's unfortunate that we expect such.</u>

PV mens and womens teams will win the SWAC regular season. I haven't seen your squads play but I've seen mine and I LOVE what I see. Even w/out Hugee playing last night, we won(mens). That says a lot because <b>there is NO ONE in the SWAC that can STOP/HALT/SLOW DOWN/CLAMP DOWN/etc Hugee</b>. (our center) Dunkfest bomb your ass w/ a "threeeeeeee" 2009 is on and popping and PV is bringing the show. :read: We're slowly returning to where we were supposed to rightly be in the first place. :lol:

Freda has her young girls playing well. Last 3 games, they beat Coastal Carolina, S E Missouri and now open conference play by beating jsu.


as for the men, ASU is the favorite.

If alot of people knew the truth about Walker they wouldn't say the things that they are saying. The Alcorn programs just don't have anybody.
 
The same way they praise Casem and Whitney at Alcorn for what they did with football and basketball is what Shirley did to keep her program going.....regardless of what they did/said...they won...

also helps that Walker's husband is a native Houstonian from Clinton Park :emlaugh:

I asked, because I don't do well with phone interaction during games that I'm attending. At home listening to radio or internet, my eyes aren't busy, so I can listen and interact elsewhere with my hands and eyes. lol But, I guess I can sort of see it since it turned into a blow out. lol

PV's girls I expect will win the conference w/o much difficulty. best talent and one of the best coaches. was surprised at how badly jsu girls played. bama state girls are vastly improved but only one descent ball handler and she's a freshman.

on the men's side..pv will have to make a believer out of me. who have they played? scriner? champion baptist (the sports uniform suppliers bible study group?)?. they've played well here and there but all those points and wins came against no one. jsu and bama state are the clear favorites assuming they both stay healthy. jsu will have to show and prove against aamu tommorow night.

Our guard play will have to get better for us to win the SWAC........We are not consistent at that position......(Must eliminate some of the turnovers and unforced errors.....must stay focused for the full 40 minutes)
