USC: Best team in the country?

Ask OU if USC wasn't good enough back during the 2004 Orange Bowl in that 55-19 ass kicking on national TV?

Bottom line, some...no...MOST of you simply don't know enough nor have seen enough of the Pac-10 teams to know any better. You people are simply clueless as is most on the East coast and the South.

Why bring up the Leinart, Bush, Williams, White-led USC offense from 4 years ago when folks are speaking of this season?

I think USC-Fla would be the better game also but nothing that happened when all of these players were in high school has any bearing on what they'd do this season.

I don't know what more USC can do short of going undefeated.

Sure, they slip up once a year, but that does not mean USC should be shut out of the national title picture because they lost a road game on a Thursday night the third week of the season.
sorry, but usc shouldn't be rewarded for playing in a weak conference. At the least, they need to be going undefeated in that weak conference. Lose to one of those horrible teams in that conference, and it's hard to get back in the title picture.

For all the folks saying they should have played for the national championship, ummm, no they should not have.

I made none football comments because Kendrick stated that all the SEC has is Football and that's a Lie.

When has USC went up against a top SEC team. When?

Tell the BCS to stop putting the sorry arse big ten in the title game and then maybe we will see how good USC really is.

Florida has just as much speed as USC. Shoot Florida has had the top recruiting classes the last three years.

Nobody is discrediting that USC is a great team and Pete Carroll is a great coach but everytime we fall for it USC lets us down. Look at some of the loses over the last few years. It's there own fault not ours.

So the best college football team this decade has to still prove how good they are because they have not played an southestern conference team? Ha!

See, only in college football do teams like USC or Florida or Oklahoma or Texas have to prove how good they are. Damn it these teams have been great for several decades.

I know we all are fans of the NFL and you know what, the best teams in league drops a few games and we have no problem with it. The Super Bowl winner last year lost six games. But nobody questions if the Giants deserved to win a title.

But USC loses one game a year, and they have to prove how good they are?

thats a horrible comparison, seeing how the the NFL has a playoffs and whoever wins the playoffs "deserves" the title, cause they won it on the field.

Maybe USC needs to stop losing to those horrible pac 10 teams.

My point was that ain't much changed with either of those teams since 2004. It wasn't that long ago. And lets face it, OU has had it chances. The Fiesta Bowls of recent haven't been too kind to them. They lost to WVU and to that team from Boise.

Hmmmmm....I wonder where Boise State gets its talent from?
