Since we have two teams that may suspect, it might be better to tailgate than go into the game.

It's not smack, but most JSUers were hoping we played Southern. Grambling is just not looked at as exciting. The SCG last year was moreso a JSU Homecoming... No opposing school to talk trash to, etc.

Offense=crowds. Defense=empty seats. Only diehards like a good defensive battle. And while both teams have gotten better on offense, this will be no high-scoring affair. With the economy, colder weather this year, same two teams, and expected low-scoring matchups, I can't see more than 35,000.

I refuse to attend unless PV is in it! :bowdown: I bleed (literally) purple 100% of the time and gold @ 100% of the time. Not blue, black, green, yellow, etc
I root for the SWAC in OOC play but that's as far as it goes.

I think we forget that even if 30,000 show up that's a GREAT FCS crowd. FBS/I-A Conference USA drew 40,000 for its championship game and that championship at least decides a bowl bid. Our championship leads to a SWAC title only.

Thats actually a great crowd for Gram....thats about the best they can do. Its a good thing JSU will be on the opposite side this year so at least it will look good on TV.

Like the locals always do, every game including last year has more locals than any one schools support. Tho JSU want us to believe they brought 30,000, when that would be one-fourth of the city of Jackson incorporated population. We aint gonna argue that ok, make that one-fifth then. Capital city musta been straight empty.:lol:

Dude, we also have alumni in Georgia, Florida, Alabama and other states who attended. You just worry about Grambling bringing more than 3,000 this time.

I attended the SCG last year and trust me when I say that JSU was definitely in the house. It was a sea of blue and white in that stadium. I was so disappointed in the Grambling turn out but a source very close to your athletic program said that Grambling's fan base doesn't travel well. But I enjoyed kickin' it with all of you from both schools.
