I've noticed this in other threads in this forum when someone states something negative about HBCU's (whether true or not) the responses aren't to the topic but more-so calling the person a sell-out.

glad you understand my point, I graduated from Jackson State, Hanging out on the yard, the greek life and etc, but when it comes to HBCU sports, we get downplayed like we are nobodies, when it comes to sports we as hbcu graduates we accept medicore hbcu sports. How many times have you seen college gameday at a black school, let me guess 2 times. The main reason why we get recognize is because of the bands, take the bands away, you might as well call our conference swac high school, we get downplayed so bad that, they handed us the worst officiating crew in football, basketball also. and we wondering why we also get the sub-par athletes, because we accept medicore/below average shit.With all the greats that came from the swac, its no way in hell we shouldnt be playing on a preimer channel, but yall wouldnt know cause yall people accept medicore shit.Instead of yall feeling what i am saying yall criticizing me. The swac championship game, only Grambling and JSU fans will be watching the game, it shouldnet be like that,but yall get the point
 
I can solve this issue quick, How much money have you and yours given to JSU to help them become like the big schools? :idea: How many checks have you written? Money is the key, not talking trash.

Well let me ask you this: What are YOU doing to help the situation? I know you're venting, and that's cool, but you are talking about what WE accept....what are YOU doing? Have you been active with the student body or alumni chapter (which ever applies to you) to come up with some solutions? Are you contributing to the athletics dept. on a consistent basis? And I'm not talking about just buying game tickets. What are YOU bringing to the table.

If you don't want to accept the mediocre, then fine. But step up to the table and show some leadership instead of batching about it.

had a situation just like that happen to me a couple of months ago where someone I respect like a second mom had comments about a Delta event. what she said was correct. Made sure we didn't a better job for the next event coming up this weekend.

Of course...it's all in the way you say it as well.

I just move up to Washington DC, and i am bout to join an alumni chapter and a grad chapter in my frat. Just set back and watch the man work, I am just in my early 20s. Just set back and be a n***a and knock shit, while i make it happen.
