Won't lie. I'm shocked. I've been listening to "stuff" recently about our mens and womens team.

I might give you the women's but ell no to the mens. To much experienced heat coming back. Bama St, JState, and SU will contend for the title. Those young players are going to be in for a rude awakening their first road game in the SWAC. Nothing can prepare you for that. Long bus rides, small gyms, hostile fans, sometimes no fans :lol: , and those sorry azz cheating refs. Nothing like the SWAC. You gotta love it.

LOS ANGELES -- Pardon UCLA fans for double-checking their programs. It will take some time to get used to all the new faces on the court for the fourth-ranked Bruins.


But if they follow through on the promise they showed in their debuts, UCLA could indeed reach its fourth consecutive Final Four.

Darren Collison scored 19 points, five touted freshmen provided offensive punch and the Bruins opened their season with an 82-58 victory over Prairie View on Wednesday night in the first round of the 2K Sports Classic.

Weber State over Prairie View in 2K Sports Classic

LOS ANGELES —Nick Hansen led four Weber State players in double figures with 16 points and the Wildcats beat Prairie View 78-68 on Thursday night for third place in the Los Angeles regional of the 2K Sports Classic.

Kyle Bullinger added 14 points, Daviin Davis 13 and Kellen McCoy 12 for the Wildcats (1-1), who shot 57 percent from the field but committed 23 turnovers.

Chris Jones scored 17 points for Prairie View (0-2), while Derek Johnson, Darnell Hugee and Dorian McDaniel each had 11.

With Weber State clinging to a narrow lead, Bullinger and Davis combined to score the team’s final 13 points, including eight consecutive free throws.
