Congrats to all schools. A huge congrats out to the SWAC reps Jackson State and Texas Southern!:clap::clap::clap:

Wow, congrats Tigers(both of you)! But I thought they said last year that sTu would not be invited back because they caught a few of the member smoking that sticky-icky last year? Well try not to get caught this year, and blow the roof off that mutha!

Question: why hasn't SU been invited yet? ....or have they been invited and just turned down the invite?.....just asking cause i'm sure people would like to see them too

Doc had a problem with the Honda folks, and I guess Jackson is holding the grudge.

Before I buy tickets, how can I find out, what side of the stadium Jackson State and Texas Southern will perform to?

They have never elected to be on the ballot. This is JSU's third time being on the ballot. They f'ed over us the first time. I am actually surprised that we put our name back in the hat this year.

Southern has been on the ballot. They were invited to the 2004 Honda Battle of the Bands and they turned down the invite, then Honda selected Prairie View to replace Southern.

Really, i don't think any1 can answer that right now....

If JSU & txSU perform back 2 back, you will miss one of their shows since they switch sides after every band

Yeah we actually accepted the offer my senior year but we turned it down because of the Parade of Champions in BR.

Well, I know that first year was some BS when it came to voting. JSU won the popular vote by a landslide but the committee still chose Grambling. I am not sure if they were bringing in two from each conference back then.

The popular vote is, and has always been, only 1/3 of the selection criteria. So it is very possible to win the popular vote and not be selected to participate...How hard is it to comprehend?
