The HBCU Sports Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of athletes, coaches, and administrators within the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) community. This inaugural event will honor those at the forefront of HBCU athletics, recognizing their contributions and perseverance in the face of unique challenges.

Purpose and Vision
The HBCU Sports Awards aim to spotlight the hard work and dedication of individuals who often go unrecognized despite their significant contributions to HBCU sports. This event focuses on athletic excellence and the vital roles those behind the scenes play.
Categories and Nominations
The awards will feature 46 categories, acknowledging individual, team, and administrative achievements. The final categories will be announced by the end of May, with nominations for each category to follow in late June or early July.
