After missing the entire 2024 season, quarterback Otto Kuhns returned to the field, delivering 219 passing yards on 19-of-27 passing.

Despite a premature snap, Towson found a way to score when a receiver sprang open through a breakdown in the NSU secondary, extending their lead to 20-7.
Norfolk State would not get another opportunity to score, punting on their next two drives, while Towson connected on another touchdown to put the game out of reach in the final 3 minutes.
Towson spoiled the highly anticipated season debut of Norfolk State on a day that began with the Spartans appearing on ESPN’s First Take as part of the show’s HBCU Tour.
Norfolk State will have its chance to get in the win column next Saturday, when it plays in its home opener against Virginia State in the Battle of the States.
