Nicholas Tramble, a talented 3-star running back from Aldine Davis High School in Houston, Texas, has officially committed to Prairie View.

Tramble chose Prairie View over multiple Football Bowl Subdivision offers from schools including Arizona, Kansas, Kansas State, SMU, Rice, Texas State, and UNLV.

Standing at 5-foot-8 and weighing 165 pounds, Tramble is recognized as the No. 120 running back nationally and ranks No. 247 in the state of Texas according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He is among the highest-ranked recruits in Prairie View history, becoming the fourth-highest-ranked prospect to commit to the program.

Tramble’s impressive high school career includes nearly 2,500 rushing yards and 29 rushing touchdowns over three seasons, more than 3,000 all-purpose yards at an average of over 100 all-purpose yards per game, and first-team All-District honors in his most recent season after leading his district in rushing yards with almost 1,100 yards and 10 touchdowns.

His commitment represents Prairie View’s new head coach, Tremaine Jackson’s first major in-state recruiting win, and it boosts the Panthers’ prospects as they prepare for the 2025 season.

Tramble’s decision to join an HBCU program over FBS teams highlights Prairie View’s growing competitiveness on the recruiting trail.

Tramble expressed his excitement on social media with “H-Town we home baby,” underscoring his pride in staying close to his Houston roots while embracing the Panthers’ culture and aspirations.

This signing adds to Prairie View A&M momentum as the program continues to climb nationally in recruiting rankings within the Southwestern Athletic Conference and beyond.
