SWAC football kicks off early again this week with an out of conference showdown between Texas Southern and No. 9 ranked Sam Houston State of the Southland Conference at 7:00 pm in TSU’s new home, BBVA Compass Stadium.
The results of out of conference games have not been kind to SWAC teams this season. So far SWAC schools have a combined win-loss record of 2-11 against out of conference foes and are a combined 0-5 against out of conference teams at the FCS (formally 1-AA) level.
The Texas Southern-Sam Houston State game will be televised locally on the Bounce TV (digital channel 11.2) and on Comcast channel 310. The game will also be streamed live over the Internet at TSUBall.com, Texas Southern’s official athletics website.
