A mini-documentary highlighting the legendary career of former Grambling State head coach Eddie Robinson was released Tuesday on YouTube.
The short film titled, “Eddie Robinson: The Man, The Coach, The Leader,” features interviews of former players including current head coach Broderick Fobbs, James Harris, and Everson Walls.
While the 408 wins of Robinson’s career are well documented, the film focuses more on the impact Robinson had on the lives of people who knew him best.
“No matter whether he won the game, or he lost the game, he has to move to the next game,” said Doris Robinson, the wife of the legendary coach in the film. “He doesn’t even have time to think about that game, not even the one he won. And he doesn’t have time to think about the one he lost. He’s going on.”
Produced by Young Pros Entertainment, the film includes interviews from Eddie Robinson III, the grandson of the coaching legend, former GSU band director Larry Pannell, former GSU baseball coach Wilbert Ellis, and former GSU president Raymond A. Hicks.
