Seven games inside the state of Texas, four games at BBVA Stadium and homecoming on campus for the second consecutive year highlights the 2020 Texas Southern football schedule.

The Tigers will remain close to home in the month of September as all three games are in the Houston area.

The second year of the Clarence McKinney era kicks off on Saturday, Sept. 5 at Prairie View A&M in the annual Labor Day Classic inside Panther Stadium. After a bye week on Sept. 12, the Tigers make their 2020 home debut on Sept. 19 at BBVA Stadium against Houston Baptist at 6 p.m. One week later, TSU jumps back into SWAC play as Alabama A&M makes the trek to Houston for a 6 p.m. kickoff at BBVA.

TSU opens the month of October on the road in Jackson, Miss. as the Tigers will face Jackson State for the first time since 2016 on Oct. 3. The contest will also mark the first time since 2015 that TSU will play inside Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium. One week later on Oct. 10, the Tigers return to Durley Stadium for the second consecutive season as they’ll host the University of Texas Permian Basin for homecoming at 2 p.m. The following weekend, TSU returns to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex for the third straight year as the Tigers will face Southern University. The 2020 edition will feature a change of scenery as the game is scheduled to be played in Arlington, Texas. The Tigers will have another open week on Oct. 24 before closing out the month of October at home against Grambling State on Halloween night (Oct. 31) inside BBVA Stadium at 5 p.m.

The 2020 home finale and senior day festivities will take place on Nov. 7 against Mississippi Valley State at 2 p.m. inside BBVA. Beginning on Nov. 14, TSU closes out the season with three consecutive road contests at New Mexico State (Nov. 14), Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Nov. 21) and Alabama State (Nov. 26) on Thanksgiving Day in the annual Turkey Day Classic in Montgomery, Ala.
