MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Alabama State University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Adidas today announced a five-year partnership in which the Portland (Ore.) based company will be the official athletic footwear, apparel and accessory brand of the Hornets through the 2022-23 season.

“We are excited about partnering with Adidas over the next five years,” Alabama State interim athletic director Jennifer Lynne Williams said. “Adidas is one of the world’s most recognizable companies in the industry. The brand speaks for itself and is respected worldwide. We think Adidas and Alabama State are natural fit as they will help continue to push our brand worldwide.”

With the new all-school, multi-year deal, Adidas will supply the Hornets with custom uniforms, apparel, football and accessories for the Hornets’ 18 intercollegiate varsity teams. Alabama State will annually be a part of Adidas elite branding, providing Alabama State student-athletes and coaches with Adidas elite products and performance gear. Additionally, through the new partnership, Alabama State athletics will extend its ability to provide apparel allocations to the Alabama State cheer squad and the Mighty Marching Hornets.

Adidas is a global designer, developer and marketer of athletic footwear, apparel and accessories with the mission to make all athletes better. Adidas is the official uniform, footwear and apparel provider for more than 100 collegiate programs including Arizona State, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Kansas, Louisville, Miami, Mississippi State, Nebraska, North Carolina State and Texas A&M. Adidas has marketing agreements with the National Basketball Association (NBA), National Football League (NFL), Major League Baseball (MLB), National Hockey League (NHL) and Major League Soccer (MLS).
