Bethune-Cookman 57, North Carolina Central 47

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Angel Golden scored 20 points and snagged a career-high eight rebounds as Bethune-Cookman held off a late North Carolina Central rally for a 57-47 victory Monday evening.

North Carolina A&T State 69, Savannah State 44

SAVANNAH, Ga. — C’Coriea Foy’s 13 points led a balanced attack for North Carolina A&T State on Monday, as the Aggies remained unbeaten on the road in MEAC play with a 69-44 win over Savannah State in Tiger Arena.

Norfolk State 72, Delaware State 50

NORFOLK, Va. — Alexys Long scored 22 points with four made 3-pointers to lead Norfolk State past Delaware State, 72-50, on Monday evening at Echols Hall.

Hampton 83, Coppin State 48

BALTIMORE, Md. — Senior Jephany Brown matched her career high with 20 points to lead four in double figures on Monday night as Hampton cruised to an 83-48 win at Coppin State.

Maryland Eastern Shore 83, Howard 79

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Ciani Byrom scored 18 of her team-high 24 points in the second half on Monday, leading Maryland Eastern Shore to an 83-79 win over Howard in Burr Gymnasium.

Morgan State 59, Florida A&M 44

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Jihayah Chavis and Braennan Farrar each had 15 points, and Lexus Spears added 12 points and 12 boards, as Morgan State defeated Florida A&M 59-44 on Monday in the Al Lawson Center.

Men’s Results

Bethune-Cookman 99, N.C. Central 81

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Brandon Tabb scored 25 points and was one of four Wildcats in double-figures as Bethune-Cookman stomped North Carolina Central, 99-81, Monday evening at Historic Moore Gymnasium. BCU (14-12, 8-3) shot 51.5% from the field (35-61) and snapped a two-game losing streak in the series to NCCU (12-13, 6-5), and ended a four-game home stand with three wins.

Savannah State 108, North Carolina A&T State 106

SAVANNAH, Ga. – Javaris Jenkins scored 21 points, made 4 of 6 from 3-point range and blocked three shots Monday night to help Savannah State beat North Carolina A&T State 108-106.

Norfolk State 93, Delaware State 58?

NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk State bounced back in a big way on Monday night, tying the school record with 14 3-pointers on the way to a 93-58 victory over Delaware State in a MEAC men’s basketball matchup at Joseph Echols Hall.

Hampton 82, Coppin State 79

BALTIMORE, Md. – A wild 23-9 run in the last 6:57 helped propel Hampton to an 82-79 win at Coppin State in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference matchup Monday night.

Howard 84, Maryland Eastern Shore 56

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Charles Williams scored 28 points on Monday night, RJ Cole had 18 points, nine rebounds, six assists and two steals and Howard used three big first-half runs to pull away for an 84-56 win over Maryland-Eastern Shore.

Morgan State 74, Florida A&M 48

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Tiwian Kendley led the charge for the Bears Monday night as he scored a game-high 24 points while David Syfax had a career-high 17 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks as the Bears routed the Florida A&M 74-48.
