Prized FBS transfer Christian Morris, who once committed to Grambling State, has now flipped to Tennessee State.
The offensive lineman made the announcement via Twitter on Friday.
“I will be continuing my career and education at Tennessee State University,” Morris wrote.
The former four-star recruit from Memphis, Tennessee, said he made the decision to commit to Tennessee State because of “a family situation that requires me to be closer to home.”
Morris previously committed to Grambling State a year after he sustained what was thought to be a career-ending neck injury in October 2015 while at Ole Miss.
Morris would have been another in a growing number of FBS transfers signing at Grambling State under head coach Broderick Fobbs.
“I would like to thank all who played a role into this process of my recruiting,” Morris said. “I would like to thank Grambling for giving me the opportunity to play for their elite team.”
Seems like a legit reason. This sucks for Grambling though. Fobbs may have recruited differently had her known Morris would not be on campus in the fall.
