PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – The Prairie View A&M football coaching staff welcomed its players back to campus on Sunday afternoon as the defending SWAC Champions officially kicked off the 2010 campaign.
The Panthers spent their first Sunday of camp taking care of administrative duties such as filling out paperwork, checking into dorm rooms followed by a team meeting. On Monday, the team will take part in another round of meetings throughout the afternoon before officially hitting the gridiron at 7 p.m.
Prairie View A&M will have three full weeks to bond as camp runs through Fri, Aug. 27. The team will hold two scrimmages on Saturday, Aug. 21 and Friday, Aug. 27 before moving towards its normal game-week schedule after the final scrimmage. Prairie View’s first game of the 2010 season will take place in Houston on Sunday, Sept. 5 versus Texas Southern in the 26th edition of the Labor Day Classic held at Reliant Stadium beginning at 4 p.m.
