Following Grambling’s 35-34 overtime win over SWAC defending champion Alcorn State, head coach Broderick Fobbs got emotional while making postgame comments about his team’s courage and even dedicated the win to the late Eddie Robinson and his wife Doris, who recently past in September.
“We’ve been so down. They (Alcorn State) thought they were burying us. But they didn’t know we was a seed. We coming from the ground. We’re Grambling. That’s just the way we are. We’re Grambling. We’re going to fight. This is for Coach Rob. This is for Ms. Doris. We’re going to fight. This is the G.”
