TUSKEGEE, Ala. – The Golden Tigers dominated the opening minutes of the first half, going on a 9-0 run. Stillman didn’t score until the 16:23 mark, with Tuskegee went on to win the contest 64-53.
Tuskegee exited the locker room with taking care of business by extending their lead to 12 with two free throws by David Alexander. The Tigers (Stillman) surged back into the game but were unable to defeat the Golden Tigers in the final seconds.
Alexander led with 21 points, seven rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal. Graham Olatunji added 16 points, five rebounds, two assists, two blocks and two steals. Kevin May made some crucial baskets to seal the deal, tallied nine points, seven rebounds, seven assists and four steals. Vladmir Tilme paced the team with eight rebounds.
The Golden Tigers finished shooting 40.7 percent from the field and 63.6 from the free throw line. They finished with 35 rebounds, 14 assists, 10 steals and seven blocks.
Rodnerius Lewis paced Stillman with 19 points, four rebounds, two steals and one block.
