Lincoln Picks Up Eighth Win In Romp Over Alderson Broaddus

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – Lincoln defeated Alderson Broaddus 71-61 on Tuesday led by freshman Teira Pendleton (Baltimore, MD/Baltimore Poly Institute)‘s career-high 17 points.

The Lady Lions led the entire first half and led by 15 at the 12:48 mark of the first half. Defensively, Lincoln held Alderson Broaddus to 30% (7-23) and into 16 turnovers.

Freshman Teira Pendleton (Baltimore, MD/Baltimore Poly Institute) scored 11 points in the first half against Alderson Broaddus. Pendelton shot a perfect 4-for-4 from the field and also led the Lady Lions with three made free-throws. Lincoln shot 32% (14-43) from the field and held a 29-20 rebounding advantage. Senior Zephrah Pam (Syracuse, NY/Monroe CC) had eight offensive rebounds along with eight first half points off of the LU bench. Junior Amani Clark (Middletown, DE/Appoquinimink HS) added five rebounds while sophomore De’jah Taylor (Nanuet, NY/Paramus Catholic Regional) had four rebounds. Lincoln led 35-24 at the half.

The Lady Lions continued their positive play in the second half increasing their shooting percentage to 50% (15-30) and dominating the paint 27-14. Junior Lisa Saunders (Hampton, VA/Hampton HS) scored nine of her career-high 15 points on a perfect 3-for-3 made shots from long range. Zephrah Pam (Syracuse, NY/Monroe CC) added eight points with six rebounds as the Lady Lions close out non-conference play with a 71-61 home victory over Alderson-Broaddus.

Lincoln’s Teira Pendleton (Baltimore, MD/Baltimore Poly Institute) scored a career-high 17 points on 6-of-7 made field goals against the Battlers. Lisa Saunders (Hampton, VA/Hampton HS) also had a career-high 15 points including a perfect 5-for-5 from three-point land. Zephrah Pam (Syracuse, NY/Monroe CC) finished with a double-double scoring 16 points and grabbing a game-high 14 rebounds.
