STANFORD, Calif. — Marcel Mosley scored 25 points to lead Arkansas Pine Bluff Monday night but it was Stanford that came away with the 74-39 at Maples Pavilion.

The Golden Lions (3-11), have now lost two straight and three of four overall.  Mosley has scored at least 20 points for the sixth time as Arkansas-Pine Bluff fell to 0-13 against Pac-12 teams, 0-2 against Stanford.

Anthony Brown scored 16 points, including four three pointers for Stanford.

Stefan Nastic added 13 points for the Cardinal (8-3), who have won four of their past five games, including last Tuesday’s upset over then-No. 9 Texas.

Chasson Randle had 11 points for Stanford, including a 3-of-5 effort from long range. He has made 240 3-pointers, one shy of Dion Cross’ school record.

Mosley was 7 of 14 from the field and 5 of 7 from long range. He leads the Southwestern Conference in scoring and three pointers made.  No other player scored in double figures for the Golden Lions.

Stanford held the Golden Lions to a single basket through the first 8 1/2 minutes of the second half and the Cardinal eventually took a 40-point edge with just over 10 minutes to play.

The Golden Lions missed their first seven shots, scoring their first basket with 11:50 remaining in the first half on Mosley’s jumper, cutting Stanford’s lead to 19-3.

Southern University fell 71-57  at Hawaii Monday night a the Stan Sheriff Center making it their third consecutive defeat.

Tre Lynch lead the Jaguars with 13 points while fellow guard Tre’Lun Banks added 12 points.

Lynch went on a personal 8-0 run to cut UH’s lead to 65-51 with 3:25 to play. UH reserve guard Niko Filipovich ended the spurt with two free throws.

UH led 31-23 at halftime despite Southern forcing 13 turnovers in the first half. The Jaguars committed 11 giveaways of their own and shot 37.9 percent in the period.  SU finished with 24 turnovers for the game

Sophomore center Stefan Jovanovic came off the bench to score a career-best 13 points on 4-for-6 shooting with five rebounds. Forward Aaron Valdes added 13.

UH shooting guard Garrett Nevels played with his right hand wrapped in a cast after tearing a ligament by his thumb in UH’s win over Colorado on Christmas. He had four points and four assists.

Jovanovic completed a three-point play on a dunk and Isaac Fleming followed with a 3-pointer off a turnover as part of a 13-0 run to blow the game open in the second half.
